I wasn't aware, That this vortex Diamondback sunshade is for the (tactical) Diamond back scope. NOT the vortex Diamondback DBK-01-BDC 3-9x40mm. there discripition should be more clear in what scope it will fit. the Inside Diameter is to small for, I would say the non-tactical Diamondback scope. bummers, oh well. I'll keep on looking!!!

I bought this because it stated it fits the 44mm Viper Scopes....I have a Viper PST Gen 2 3-15x44 scope. This sun shield is a smaller diameter than the end of the scope and, therefore, does not fit the PST-3151. According to Viper Customer Service, the PST II comes with its own sunshade. They were kind enough to mail me a replacement for the original which I did not receive as I bought the scope used. They stated they would address the issue in the description.

This sunshade is well worth the price. Lightweight and strong. Fits like a glove on my Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-12 x40 scope.

This is a very good sunshade and is very study. The thread size is M52x0.75mm. In general if you scope is a 50mm in the front, it needs to have the threads in M52x0.75mm to use this sunshade. My scope is a Horus Vision Predator which has an objective bell of 50mm diameter with the thread size M52x0.75mm. This sunshade fits it perfectly. Make sure the thread size on your scope is correct size.I don't understand why scope manufacturers don't publish the thread sizes of their scopes. How difficult is that? Also I don't understand why people don't call the manufacturers and ASK? How difficult is that? Stop playing games on the phone. Use it to call manufacturers and ASK. Stop giving bad ratings out of sheer ignorance.An advice for Vortex: PRINT THE DAMNED SIZE OF YOUR SCOPE OBJECTIVE BELLS' THREADS IN YOUR PRODUCTS' SPECS. IT'S NOT HARD. AND PEOPLE ARE NOT THAT STUPID. THEY'RE JUST IGNORANT BECAUSE YOU DON'T HELP THEM LEARN ABOUT THREAD SIZES.

It screws on good but the sunshade is kind of chintzy compared to the scope. The sunshade for my crossfire is nicer and it's a cheaper scope than the viper. All in all it does the job.

Amazing product and will buy again for other compatible scopes! While on that subject...I see several comments complaining and giving bad reviews because the shade didn't fit. I also see in those reviews "40mm, 44mm, or 50mm should fit on any vortex scope of the size right? Mine wont fit." Well....the problem is, these misguided and lost souls just don't know how to read product descriptions where it states in plain sight what models of vortex optics this shade will fit. Don't give a bad review because you failed to make sure it was compatible.

Very nice sunshade, well built, good material, perfect length to eliminate glare at almost all sun angles. Anything vortex I’ve ever purchased has been also been exceptional quality.Unfortunatly, it does not fit my Bushnell AR Optics 4.5-18x 40mm. I measured out the inside diameter of the scope to 44mm and took a chance, knowing it might not fit. Worth a shot, just gonna return it.
