I spun around for a while looking for Step bars (aka. nerf bars, etc.) for my new "used" Dodge RAM 1550 standard cab Tradesman standard bed pickup. I would've liked to get a pair of welded to frame bars that I could use a jack on for lifting truck when four wheeling but ... probably only in my dreams will I be four wheeling that hard so these bolt-on will work fine. For the price (especially compared to weld on ones and others I looked at) I feel I didn't go wrong - these feel firm and didn't take much to install. All the bolts, nuts and washers came with mine, others have reported they were missing some. My shipping box was a bit beat-up and I was concerned I might have the same problem but all was well. All the hardware comes in a separate inside box mummified inside with plenty of packaging tape to keep it inside and attached inside the shipping box. Beat-up shipping box a issue with the carrier, not Westin. Just a note, there were several similar Westin models for my truck, if I remember this was to largest diameter and heaviest shipping weight.Installation starts with laying out the brackets and hardware to match the pictures. Once you have that figured out not bad to continue. Installation instructions were OK, functional, but this is coming from a decades old backyard mechanic who has rebuilt several engines over the years. For my truck no drilling is/was required. The instructions indicated a variation of the rear bolt holes that didn't really match what I had, but the hardware was there to use the pre-tapped inserts in the rocker panel. I preferred using what the instructions said I was supposed to have and drilled out the inserts - if you do be careful because the inserts will fall inside the rocker panel and probably rattle if you don't get them out. I used one of the small super magnets to fetch the inserts out. I did this extra because the as stated method used larger diameter bolts that what the inserts were. Was not necessary but I like to tinker anyway. The front bolt in has 2 brackets - 1 attached to the step bar and the bottom of the rocker panel (that is the bottom underside of the metal just under the door - a technical term here). There's a 2nd bracket that bolts this bracket to the frame, making the front of the step bar very firm. The rear bracket bolts only the step bar to the rocker panel, so probably may not want to use step bar as a jack point, but very firm when standing on it just the same. With my deviation from the instructions it took 3-4 hours of just puttering installing these, was not in a hurry. Just going for it if you're mechanically inclined should be less than an hours worth of work.Overall very satisfied with these and recommend them. Sorry, no photos.

Really easy to install. My old lady installed/figured this out despite that the Instructions were lacking details like labeling the bags or bolts. I was missing 4 of each - M10 bolts, hex nuts and washers to complete the install. The parts attach to the combination bolt/nut plate (1st pic, bottom in the box. This has the temporary 'flanged' M10 bolt above it to show and find out just what was missing. Hopefully they'll quickly respond and send what's missing, and I'll update my review at that time.I was able to to install one side with the included parts and after a trip to OReilly's for the bolts. I called Westin support and Richard emailed me to get pictures to understand what I was missing. As packaged, this will NOT fit your 2012 Dodge RAM 1500 regular cab as labeled and sold.Being that they include the M8 bolts, I'd say this will work for a 2015 model.Still waiting on a response from Westin. It looks great, solid design and looks.
