This little piece is the difference in a warm refrigerator and freezer and a frozen cold one. It was easy to install for the average DIY repair especially with all the video guides you can find online and has my 2005 Kenmore side by side freezer at 0 and the fridge at 36 degrees. Very happy customer here.

This part fixed my kenmore side-by-side's defrosting issue. Freezer was working but the fridge got warm, ice was built up on the coils behind the panel in the freezer blocking airflow to the fridge side. This part fixed the issue of not allowing the heating element for the defrost system to turn on, and allowing the ice to build up.
