I have never gotten a-shade that you have to assemble before but im very happy with it. Best part you dont have to worry about damage to it during shipping. I have a European style light socket on my lamp which are nearly impossible to find shades with a bigger hole for them (normal uno fitters are too small). These are perfect and come with three adapters to make the hole different sizes if needed. I docked a star because the “forming fabric” inside the two edges underneath are black (should be white) so when the light is on it makes the dark edges as you can see in pics

You assemble this lampshade youself. Color is fine. Value for money is a 0. Build quality? Well...it's not built, so 0. Size is as advertised.

Shade came in a flat box and I thought we received the wrong item. I had to assemble the shade and it's great quality. Exactly what I needed for a small lamp. Assembly was easy and a really cool idea!
