I've had it for 3 years. It seemed indestructible from use but the plastic the handle is made from is just falling apart. Also it's my last choice to use because the handle seems to weight more than the head.

Awesome sledge, have many hours of relentless Bashing and the swing and impact of Wilton Bash hammer is perfect. Find your footing and deliver the blows until your arms are like noodles. Today my wedge gave up as seen in the picture but Wilton Bash has delivered.I expect to get years of service from this tool. If you are tires of buying new hammers every year I definitely recommend the Wilton line of hammers.

i used to use it at an iron foundry. the plastic end cap that holds the handle core pins in place melted and fell off within a week, after that was gone the handle would twist as you swing and the pins would start working their way out of the handle

Not a 20 pound sledge... had to return complete waste of time

Do you want a sledge that will last you for the rest of your life then this is it. I have split many cords of wood with this and it has stood up like a champ. Additionally, if for some reason the hammer has an issue, the company stands behind their products.

Not only is the handle incredibly strong but wielding this thing is not a huge drain on my stamina when I'm striking with it. Before I could swing it once or twice on a wedge before taking a quick break. Now I can strike 5+ times in a row before getting weary. Great product.

I am a 115 lb weakling and got the lightest hammer in this BASH style that has a full handle. The 4 inch sidewalk concrete was no match for me and this.+Rubber grip is great+Feels as indestructible it looks+long handle with 8lbs is easy to hit hard and accurate-a little expensive

Temporary rating soley based on appearance and how it feels. As is the case with most of my tools- I get the good ones only after I no longer need them on a current job. This is no exception to the rule. I will definitely update it as I find the opportunity to use it. That said, this thing feels like it would be impossible to break. I do believe they are truly unbreakable. The only thing you should be aware of is that it ships with that familiar (or not so familiar) Harbor Freight smell of imported rubber. I'm not sure if it's actually made overseas or not, I don't care- I trust the Wilton brand, and the reviews behind this, but you may want the sledge to air out for quite awhile in an open garage or covered area in the yard before you lock it up someplace confined, toss it in your truck cab etc- just so those vapors can't cause you harm. So far- I love it, zero regrets about it!

This is a very robust product and extremely well made. After breaking two fiberglass handled sledgehammers in the last year, I decided to give this item a go after seeing it on a show on Sky.The item is tough as they list in the description but the best bit is the way the handle absorbs the shock. This makes using it for a long time a lot less painful.Definitely recommended!

I don't generally have much to demolish, but when I do, I want the job done right. I don't think a gorilla could break this hammer. It's as easy to swing as gravity can allow. It's also easy to find in a cluttered garage on account of the distinctive green head. At this point, I've swung it more for exercise than anything else, but when I've used it as intended I've had no complaints.
