I like the jacket, but the Velcro on the sleeves are not placed correctly. I would prefer elastic. I had to return.

Jacket delivered today. Fits well. Looks good. But I was completely unable to use the zipper. Seemed defective. Yanked hard trying to close the zipper to point where I feared I would tear the fabric. My stronger husband finally pulled the zipper up but I couldn’t do it. Way too much trouble. Am returning. Maybe a replacement will have a zipper that works.

I’ve had this rain jacket for a couple years now and I love it. It’s the only lightweight rain jacket that isn’t completely useless in a rain storm. I live in a hot climate, so I also appreciate that this doesn’t leave you too overheated. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a lightweight basic black rain jacket with a hood, to take on a trip, that would look somewhat stylish yet minimalist. This fits the bill perfectly. I have to fold up the sleeves, which is fine with me and they fold neatly. The jacket is true to size and with just enough room to wear layers underneath. The sleeves are quite roomy, yet overall the jacket is very trim. The jacket is all black with bright orange zipper pulls. The orange is very nice but I did not want a sporty look. So, I easily removed the orange zipper pulls from the pockets and front zipper. For the zipper pulls at the neck (to tighten the hood), I carefully painted the visible portion of them with black nail polish. Now I have a perfect black minimalist rain jacket, classy, lightweight and true to size.

First of all, I had already ordered one of these in the basic solid color, not the print. I ordered a white one that was actually off white or a really light, light greenish color which was actually really nice. But this dark gray printed version seems different in a few ways. First of all, it has elastic plus Velcro on the sleeves, the solid colored jacket has Velcro but no elastic so I could not get the sleeves as tight as I needed and they are really long sleeves. Also, this printed one has an inside cell phone pocket which is really handy on a rainy day, plus, the printed one is also a bit heavier in weight. Not too much heavier but it feels of better quality almost as if it is a completely different jacket. I wish the plain solid print jackets were like this printed one, I would have loved to keep the 'white' one but I have decided to order the printed 'pure white' because I want two of these and I feel the print is all around a better made jacket, especially considering the elastic on the sleeves plus the print does not wrinkle the way the solid color one does. Check out the Amazon pictures, the printed ones show the elastic and the inside pocket, the solid ones do not. I hope this review helps someone make a good decision for themselves, they are both really nice jackets for the price.
