When the tourpack cable for our 2011 Ultra Limited broke, I decided to look for replacement hinges as well. They were way too expensive at Harley, so I looked on Amazon. I read the reviews and the installation information I could find. This is an excellent replacement, but the installation took a little time and effort. My husband had to use a drill to remove the "rivets" on the original hinges. It's helpful to have 2 people do this istall--one to hold the tourpack lid, and one to do the installing of the hinges. My recommendation: take your time, and don't use a drill bit too large when drilling the rivets. These look GREAT on our bike!

Had to buy true Harley Parts bc holes were drilled incorrectly. Not useable. Bought true Harley part and it fits perfectly.

Item is advertised to fit a tour pack on any HD touring models from 1988 to 2013. The hinges don't look like the OEM hinges on my 1998 FLHTCU. They actually look much nicer. like maybe they were made for a later year touring model. One of the photos the seller posted shows a tour pack with hinges installed. The tour pack in the photo looks a lot like the tour pack I have except mine's blue. The hinges mated up to the base of my tour pack but there is no way they will match up with the original mounting points of the tour pack cover. I think the hinges were incorrectly advertised. The latches were not included with the hinges so I don't even know it they would fit. If they come in later I'm just gonna return them without opening the package. I hope the seller won't charge me to return those too.

The hinges were not easy to install, actually they were not even close to fitting. When I inquired about return, was told I have to pay shipping....won't buy from here again

Good looking hinges. Decent chrome plating. Two stripped down threads out of 16. Description said " 2 hinges and all necessary hardware". I got hinges and screws only. NO BACKPLATES. Seller promised to send me backplates, but it never happened. I had to cut, drill and sand my stock hinges to make my own backplates. Without them plastic WILL crack! You can try to use washers. Loctite is a must.
