It is solid when properly tightened down but the slight flex I feel when stepping on the far left or right edges of the step are causing me to always aim for the middle of the step out of concern for it's longevity. This somewhat defeats the purpose of a wide step given there are cheaper narrower options. I weigh 170lb and tend to take steps aggressively as I run in and out. If you tend to move slow and careful then you might not have anything to worry about. I did have to chop the excessively long bolts that attach the step to the hitch component in order to be able to install the step closer to my bumper. There is no reason for these bolts to stick out the way they do.

This step is nice size and sturdy. The only thing I don't like is that to use your hitch to tow you have to get wrenches to remove the clamp. If you don't use the clamp it can wobble some.

Fits exactly as advertised and provides a sturdy platform to access the roof of my 4Runner. Really helps a short guy like me cartop my canoe! The rounded edges are nice as well - reduces the chance of painful bumps on the legs.

Works great for the fact it does not interfere with the back-up proximity sensors on the truck. The drop-down style of this model makes it possible. Tried a different model previously that extended straight out from hitch and couldn't back up as it engaged the auto brake system. Three things that I'd point out for consideration on this model is that the step part is showing signs of rust within a week of installation; the U-stabilizer included would be better if the posts were longer to get the bolts on. It took tremendous strength to get the nuts and washers on as one side seemed slightly shorter. Almost threw away and replaced with one I already had.The 4 large silver bolts that come with it stck out compared to the black finish on the rest of it. I did paint the top of solver bolts black to conceal them better. See pic for reference. Nice and heavy steel too, not aluminum like some others. Recommend.

the product is well thought out its very strong but the lock that goes thru the hitch and the step is too short to lock it in place i can`t the lock otherwise a good product please help thanks E.R.RIZZO

Easy to assemble, and looks great! Solid, I have no concerns about it holding my weight and it makes getting in and out of my Dodge Promaster so much nicer! Highly recommend this to anyone looking!

This is a very good product. I bought this due to the one I bought before is crooked and can't use it and sad part, the other company charges to ship back for defective product.Luckily that happened or I won't find this. It is only 26 inches but the metal plate used is thick. Very sturdy and it helped a lot to have an anti rattle that came with it. I think this is at least 20-25 lbs.I am very happy with this product.

Although at first, there were no instructions, Xprite was quick to rectify the problem by sending us instructions. There is also a video that makes the installation easier. We were able to install it properly and it is a sturdy, well constructed step that has saves our backs everyday in the work van.
