Do not buy this as soon as I inserted the device and tighten it to streatch the sandle the black plastic knob broke and shot off the screw arm do not buy anything that has plastic

My cobbler wanted 2X what these cost. These worked okay, but had to use them multiple times to make a difference in my thick leather boots. They are a little tricky to use.

Hi there I have foot pain and nerve pain and these strechters are wonderful. You can widen lengthen your shoes ! It works well easy to apply I recommend stretch pray and leave it on for 2 days ! Thank you happy costumer ! Ps the instructions are in the bag ! There are attachments to make extra space by the toe area

I have never owned a pair of these before. I didn't know how effective they would be so I didn't want to pay top dollar. I also didn't want to buy cheap plastic junk that would just break on me. I settled here and I'm so glad I did!I'm a senior and as I'm aging various oddities occur. My left foot is half an inch bigger than my right foot now. My legs, ankles & feet swell randomly. I also have arthritis so I was worried I might have a problem with the hand adjustments.I've used these in 2 pair of gym shoes (Sketchers) and 1 pair of leather shoes. They stretched out the one shoe perfectly. Now I can walk for hours without toe pain on one foot. Hallelujah! And the hand adjustments were zero problem. And I use a tool to help me open up jars. So the fact that I had no problems says a lot.This is a quality product without a break the bank price tag. I'm fussy so if I like them, you will too.

got these to work on stretching a pair of bison leather moccasins that the manufacturer sizing is off from prior years - as well as to free up some room in some work dress shoes. fyi - i recommend buying a shoe stretching spray in conjunction with these for better results. turn the knob clockwise to make these longer - up to maybe a size 13 or 14 - not 15 or 16 as stated. turn the L-wire clockwise to expand the toe section. Made of pine wood - seems like it'd be sturdier than the plastic models that have a smaller size. lots of plastic parts here - so hopefully they hold up. so far all is well and they are doing a satisfactory job - not excellent - but for the price compared to the expensive professional models - these will do.

New shoes (replacement work shoes/ same brand, size, color,..) had a sewing seam irritating an area on top of foot. Never used one of these so a little trial & error experimenting, especially with the provided little plastic ‘plug-ends’ that you can insert into drilled holes in the wood expander feet. I’m not a close instructions reader and initially thought the stretching would/ should be complete in a quick 5 minute stretch. Not so! … as the instructions says. New leather is dry/ stiff and takes A LOT of stretch umph… over night… and after a trial fit next day might feel better… but still not yet totally perfect. So putting the stretcher wood foot back into position and retightening the s-t-r-e-a-c-h SCREW plus a little more… for a second day/ over night did it for me. Maybe I could have used more force the first day/ overnight… but had no prior experience.

My wife and I are going on a vacation to Italy later this month. She purchased a couple of comfortable sketchers sneakers and shoes. She only tried on 1 pair at the store (our mistake). When we hot home she realized the sneaker needed to be a little wider. We contacted the store and they didn’t have the same sneaker in a wide size, so we purchased this and widened the sneaker just enough to where it’s comfortable for her to wear. We did leave them in for 48 hours since it was the first time trying this. She’s happy with the results …..Which keeps me happily married. Again good sturdy product and it works.
