I bought three boxes of these for my one high school geometry class because they have the locking wheel mechanism. As another reviewer stated, they are smaller than normal, but I think that’s okay if using these compasses on regular sized loose leaf, spiraled, or printer paper. I like that they’re metal and not cheap plastic. Each comes in a nice plastic case with two extra pencil refills. My only critique is that the locking wheel mechanism can come completely off if it is rotated all the way to make a larger circle. The mechanism does not prevent its screw from detaching from the compass legs. Overall, I like these, I’m just going to have to tell my students not to expand the radius of the circle too far.

These are smaller than most compasses. But I bought them to have in the classroom for students that don't have their own. It's perfect for what I needed, but I wouldn't buy these as my primary compass, especially for a high school geometry class.

They are cheap and fall apart. They are basically junk.

I needed some compasses for my students in several classes to use for diagramming some of their science lab results, so I picked these up. They work better than some of the mixed ones I have been using and seem to be pretty precise. We will see how long they last, but for this price I can afford to replace or add to them once in a while.

These are very nice, but small. They only open to about a 2" diameter.
