Sometimes you do not want to glue together PVC permanently so you can glue on the male threaded tips and then use these to join the pipe sections together.

This 1/2" diameter Coupler will Work Well to Extend the Garden watering piping without having to fiddle with the fitting that is underground! As Plants grow larger the watering system needs to grow with them!Since the fitting will be used outdoors there is no concern if it were to break, and even then, the fitting looks pretty rugged so it would take quite a hefty branch to take it out!
