We ordered this as a standin for our larger Sterilite which is $17 at a large retailer.Comparing this cake carrier to our Sterite carrier it's definitely lighter weight. I don't think it would hold a tall heavy cheesecake or other heavy wet cake without problems. For typical two layer or pie, it's fine. It's also much clearer, so you can better present your dessert without removing the cover.The other big difference is height, this will not handle a full size angel food cake or other extra tall cakes.I was a bit confused putting it together the first time. Be sure the feet go on the counter and the flat side is inside the cover.This is more than 50% more expensive than the Sterilite, so unless the clearer cover is important to you, this seems like a poor deal.

Seems like great quality, and nice color on the bottom but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to close it. I don’t know if I got a defective one that can’t close properly, but I’ve had multiple people try and none of us can figure it out so I haven’t been able to properly use this.

This cake carrier is nice looking and snaps together with ease. The height of the carrier is a little short best used for a cheese cake.

When I take the time to create a home-made treat for my family, I like to be able to keep it fresh. This cake carrier is not oversized so I can fit it in my fridge and not take up the whole fridge. I had trouble getting the top to lock onto this when I first got it. After a lot of fiddling around with it, I eventually figured it out. Once you get it on, it holds onto the bottom pretty firmly and I don't feel like it would pop off. This is good to help keep the cake fresh and the bugs out.

This is a pretty light-weight cake carrier, but looks great. I appreciate the clear cover so you can better see what's inside. I've had previous cake carriers that were frosted/foggy that made it mandatory to remove the cover to see the cake(s). The height should be okay for most cakes, but be aware of the measurements of your cake height before using this. I removed a star for two reasons - one, the price is high ($29) compared to other cake carriers available and two, this is very light-weight. I would never carry a cake by the top handle, but this one, especially, I feel like you need to carry it from the base. Otherwise, it looks beautiful and I love the color.
