Proper Hardware Required
Because of its firmness and durability, you will need the proper hardware to cut Houseables’ coated wire. You will need to take a pair of wire-cutting diagonal shears (not included) or the cutting edge of a pair of needle-nose pliers (not included) to get through the wire. It is also best to protect your eyes with industrial goggles or glasses as you cut through the wire.

I like that it is sturdy enough to support the weight of a hawk. Using it to drape the wildlife netting over it. So, if a hawk lands on it. It will be able to support its weight. Otherwise it would come tumbling down. And the hawks could kill my chickens.

The plastic coating is very easily nicked and starting to peel away from Cable itself

I used this cable as a halyard for my 35ft flagpole to support a 6ft x 10ft American flag. A little stiff to wrap around the cleat, but it is working just fine.A wire re-enforced Polyester halyard is no comparison to this cable and Arizona desert heat 50+ days of 110° temps this summer. Time will tell how well the vinyl coating will hold up to the sun. I have a hoist application for which I will substitute this cable instead of the heavy duty Nylon rope I had planned to use.Thx, Rob

I really like the cable. I installed in my patio to have an ivy grow, also to use it for a dog leash. At Lowe's was several times the price per foot, so I got probably about 100 feet "for free" if you compare the prices. It also arrived super quick, considering what is going on with the pandemic, I was happily impressed.
