The wire on my trailer was too short to reach my sons truck. I got this for him and he reported that it works great. He likes that it has the coil to help keep the harness off the ground.

I found over the years that the most reliable and damage resistant wiring system for boats and utility trailers is to have the electrical connectors on both the vehicle and trailer to be firmly mounted and then use an extension cable like this one from BFXM to connect the trailer to the vehicle. This helps prevent what I call “dangle damage” to the cable that is just hanging. It also puts all the cable flexing and stretching on an easily replaceable component and may save your bacon if you forget to disconnect the harness when disconnecting the trailer. I really like this unit from BFXM with its molded on connectors and it has a dust cover, but I just plug it into itself to protect the terminals in storage.

It does exactly what it says it will. That's what I was looking for.The plugs are molded on to the cable, so you can stretch it the full length and it never felt like the ends might come loose. It fit on the trailer hitch connecter easily and I could push it on nearly tight enough to be watertight (although it's not of course). And it stays connected - it won't wiggle off 10 miles down the road.The cable connectors inside the plug are standard issue - nothing gold plated here, but really? Those other products are over-rated.What mattered to me is that is fit well and holds on, stretches as the trailer turns left and right, and returned to normal coiled state afterword.That's a 5 out of 5 for me.

So instead of trying to figure out how many wraps of your lead test you need to go around before plugging in, just use this little beauty for about $8. It also allows you to let the wear and tear happen on a part that unplugs and is easily replaceable if ever needed!

The BFXM 4 Pin, Flat Trailer Plug Trailer Wire Extension Harness is a great way to make the connection between vehicle and trailer. The coiled wires assures that we always have enough length without letting it droop down to make ground contact. 5 stars!

This extension is great I really like the coiled up wire. This will stretch when needed and recoil when not.
