This 60-inch Stainless Steel Folding Snake Grabber is strong, folds easily, and is very effective at grabbing from small to larger objects and holding them securely without damage or injury. We could easily pick up a small felt marker with them and a rolled-up hand-towel with ease. The handles have a nice, soft, squishy grip covers, and the grabber end is serrated, but they're all rounded-over to allow you to grip without hurting the wildlife you wish to relocate. The length is good - long enough to keep you at a safe distance from most critters but still gives you enough control to relocate them easily. The only things that could be better on this set of grabbers is that they come with a protective plastic over the handle and grabber end, but it was assembled with the protective film on, so it doesn't all come out of the pivot/joint areas!!! The folding lever makes me wonder how long it'll last if you're folding it a lot, but it could be replaced with a wingnut and bolt if needed. Overall, it sure beats trying to relocate a snake with a rake or a stick! We moved a 5' black snake with these already: The snake is fine and we didn't get bitten - so we're pleased.

I love having this extendable clamp pole around for various reasons including reaching items on a high shelf. This product is a very nice and high quality tool that's well-built with all metal parts. It's probably the best I've seen. It has a strong grip, and is great for picking up and also pulling heavy objects at a distance. It could handle a snake with ease once you learn how to use it properly. It certainly will make taking them out of the yard and back into the trees safer and easier. The clamp has a width of about five inches, and the tool itself is almost 5 feet long. I got this to replace a plastic version that broke after a few uses, this one is definitely an upgrade.

When using it to control the snake, I found that it required a lot of skill. I tried many times but all ended in failure, and I even nearly got bitten by the snake. Secondly, I noticed that the pole would slightly bend after being used a few times, indicating poor quality.

This is a pretty niche item but could be used for dead rats or cockroaches or splurge in your pool skimmer and so on. It's basically a longer heavy duty version of one of those grabbers for elderly or partially disabledIt folds over which is good but doesn't really fit together in some way that snaps into place and holds which would be nice. To assemble you put the end pole part into the handle bigger pipe piece which is obvious since there's a metal cable holding them together. Then you rotate it properly and push a thumbscrew to tighten.Note you only need a ten degree turn to tighten...the tolerances are really good and I actually thought it was broken because I was trying to open it further and it wouldn't open any more. I couldn't believe a 1/20th of a turn would do the trick. The tighten mechanism is all metal and sturdy as per my picture. The grabber works great and you can see me picking up a guitar with no issue. No pole bend at all. You can generate quite a bit of grabbing force if needed. If you do grab a snake with this lift it up and it won't have any traction with the ground and can't generate any sheering force to wiggle out. It will thrash around but accomplish much.
