Incredibly secure. Notice the foot adjusts to the correct angle of the door jam. Plus, it comes with a thick piece of finished fabric if you want to drape your car's door finish. I prefer direct contact. No sliding.

This adjustable step for the car door works great! I frequently install a large storage box on the roof rails of my SUV and it's very hard to access the contents without this step. This item installs and removes in seconds and feels very sturdy to use. It doesn't leave any marks on the vehicle and it stores easily once folded. I can easily fit both feet on this step, if needed, to get higher up and access contents in the storage box. It's durable and I'm happy to have this item. I look forward to using it for a long time.

Got this because I often place my Starlink Mini on the roof of my Ram Promaster City and it's a little awkward without a stool. But instead of a stool, I got this foot stand because it's so compact. It works really well and it's a great size. It folds down a bit so it's pretty compact when not in use. It feel pretty sturdy, with a little bit of wobble on my Promaster City door.
