MY scope never moves and I love these mounts. Yes you need a small allen key but they ship the allen key with the scope rings. Unless you are moving scope from one Crossbow, Gun, or Air-Rifle save your money and buy these.

This is a very nice set of rings. Plenty sturdy and easy to mount. I definitely recommend these for the price. You can get nicer rings but they will cost you a substantial amount more.
