Now that Augustine strings have modernized and improved the intonation of their strings they are, in my opinion back on the very top tier of quality Classical Guitar strings. They have retained the beautiful, clear and sonorous quality that have made them the strings that Andres Segovia recommended.And who has been able to approach the amazing orchestral sounds that he produced? Of course you probably don't have a Hauser or an exceptional1960's Ramirez 1A, LOL. For any nylon string guitar these are "go to" strings.

I love this string set. This black label is the low tension set. The tension is significantly lower. I can play for a longer period of time without fatigue in my thumb and wrist. Highly recommend this for beginners~intermediate. For the advanced players, what I've heard is that normal or high tension produces better sound. But I'm very happy with this string set.

中学生の子供がギターを欲しがったので実家に放置してあった、３０年前に友達から買ったフォークギターに張りました。音色もよく、指先もメタル弦にくらべて痛くないです。安いですがいい品だと思います。

1. Fairly Inexpensive2. Decent Sound3. High E(1) string broke at the bridge. So I slacked off some from the tuner and tied it off again on my guitar's 12 hole bridge. It snapped again and gave me a nice welt on my right pinky.The only strings I've ever broken were the fluorocarbon Savarez Alliance - also a high E(1). But that was on a different guitar and probably due to rough hole edges on the Bridge Bone Beads I was using at the time. It could be that on a 660 mm guitar like mine, there was just too much tension on this string. So it might be fine on your typical 650 mm scale length instrument.I had high hopes for set due to positive internet reviews but such was not the case for me. I may try another set on a shorter scale length guitar in the future.
