I was hoping for a shoe that wouldn't pick up as much dirt as my old shoes do, and while this is not the case they are still a good fitted option that preforms nicely.

I wear more of a 9 1/2 shoe, but I go with the L for these turners instead of the XL. I like these to be a bit snug, because it's really annoying if they come flying off when you dance (been there done that). I like this brand and this style the best because I think they look most nude and natural on stage.

Nice quality however I ordered the wrong size for my daughter which is my fault not for lack of shoe being true to size because the shoe is in fact true to size. I will be attempting to return soon so here’s to hoping for a smooth return process!

My daughter wears a size 3.5 in kids. The small is so snug but the medium is huge. The small will do for competitions, but she does not wear them for lyrical practice. We like So Danca's version better, but need these for a small group, so we will deal.

I bought these for a modern/contemporary class and they've served me really well. They give just enough slip on a dance floor to make turns fluid without sending you flying. I wear a narrow women's 10 and the XL fits great. I don't wear the straps like in the picture - I put the small one around my arch and the long one around the back of my ankle. It gives a little bit of arch support and feels way more secure. I go pretty hard on these shoes and they haven't ripped or torn at all! I have narrow enough feet and short enough toes that I didn't mind my toes being completely covered in these, but if you have long toes or rely on toe grip when you dance, dance paws-type shoes might be better for you. But if you just want your heel out, these are perfect!

Another update: She just wore out her 2nd pair. These are a great shoe for contemporary. Long lasting, stretch, perfect amount of traction. All the girls in her class switched to these after our recommendation and were happy. She's in a 7, trying trying LG this year.Update: just bought our daughter the 2nd pair, next size up. She now wears a women's size 5 and has a slender foot. Tried these as soon as they arrived and she proclaimed them a perfect fit. As she went through dance last year we recommended these to all the other girls in her class. The moms all ordered this style and brand and the dancers love them.Below is my review of the first pair:After a few no goes, we finally found a wonderful fit for our little dancer. In other words, she immediately ripped the other ones off her toes. The appeal is the soft cotton lining inside! Our 9yo hated the other half soles we tried until we bought these. (One even had a stiff suede patch inside...why??) The toe box is the perfect width, the canvas has a slight stretch which is nice. She was spinning around the house happily and is looking forward to wearing them to class this week. Her turns are already improving. Bravo, Bloch!!!

Bought these for my daughter. She previously had the same one's but wore them out. These fit exactly as they should. My suggestion is to go to a local store for your first pair and find your size. Maybe even give them the business for helping you if they earn it. I had a gift card for Amazon so it was a no brainer to buy these online and have them sent to me directly. My daughter has a size 8 shoe and she got the x-large (10-11.5). I will never understand sizing on anything but, these are the ones that fit her hence my recommendation of trying them on at a store first! In the picture I have provided, you can see the one on the right foot is the Capezio Large and the one on the left foot is the new Bloch in a XL size. She said the XL gives her just enough room to not have the straps dig into the back of her ankle.
