Is it what I was looking for? no. Is it going to work for my intended purchase? also no. Is it as as good as an IBEX? no idea.Is it the most adorable thing I've ever accidentally purchaced? yes. I had inteded to buy something about an inch long body wise. Figuring that I know how to tune a plane so it couldn't be all that bad for the price. When the padded envelope arrived with an even smaller padded envelope inside that appeared almost flat I thought I might have accidentally purchased just a blade. When I opened the envelope and a tiny plane inside a tiny ziplock fell out I began to cackle so hard I could barely breathe and had tears running down my face. I'm a large individual. This thing is smaller than my thumb tip. I decided to not only keep it, but proceded to sharpen the blade. It took less than 5 minutes to totally flatten the back and sharpen the edge. You know what? it takes really smooth shavings. I can see this actually being useful when I can't get sandpaper into certain areas, or small sections for rounded bindings. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was becasue of the lacking description, and that the balde wasn't sharp out of the box. Knowing what this is, I will inevitably buy it again when I lose it. Likely from sneezing. I'm thinking I may buy a bunch to give out as gifts for my customers whenever I deliver.
