The Butler Creek Element Scope Caps has taken lens protection to the next level. This modular-interchangeable scope cap can be used in any weather element the hunter is facing. Included are three lenses; black disk to minimize direct sunlight on the scope lens. A clear disk so you can see your reticle while caps are closed in rainy weather and a data disk which can provide caliber specific ballistic data. These scope caps are highly rugged and feature a ridged polymer protective lid, durable to withstands abuse and extreme heat and cold. A rubber-stretchable sleeve allows these caps to fit multiple diameters of scopes. The best attribute is the fully customizable, printable, data disk that provides wind and elevation information in either the eye or objective cap.

The open lever fell out within a week, lost.Emailed company no response. Returned for a replacement.Have purchased these before with no issues, older ones work great.

Ordered this for a new scope. I took the rifle out west hunting and the red lever broke off on the very first morning. Literally, the first time i used it. Junk apparently...

I know why these don't ship with the clear in, they couldn't figure put how to keep them clean while installing them either. They are the best fitting scope caps I've had but feel like the "clear" lense is garbage and that really takes away. No clear option would be better than what they have

Very disappointing piece of equipment. The first time I pushed the button to open the cap, the button parts went flying everywhere. Also the changeable eyepiece is flimsy and I wouldn't be surprised if the cap didn't survive a single hunt.

This scope cap does what it should so I give it 4 stars. The rubber sleeve seems pretty durable so far and grips reasonably tight. It slips a little over repeated openings but not to bad. Might need a small tool like a paper clip or the finger of a back scratcher to aid in getting the rubber sleeve stretched over the scope, just be careful that there are no sharp edges on your chosen tool that will scratch the scope or cut the sleeve. Small durability issues with the red cap button (mine fell out and got lost). The cap is still functional so I just took one star off. You can open the old fashioned way but no finger tab so have to use nails to catch the edge of the cap. The dope data disk is pretty handy. You can reverse directions based on preference so it is visible with the cap open or closed.I would get this again.
