The design is simple, albeit slightly bulky. The thumbscrews are the ratchet type and a bit heavier duty than the tiny ones I find on my SmallRig components.

I normally buy Small Rig hardware but I don't like their version of this block as much as I do this one mainly because of the much larger thumb lever on the screws.
