First, guitar arrived from Sweetwater in secure packaging. Surprised that guitar was in tune and intonation was perfect. Action was higher then I like so had my guitar tech set action to my liking. I have normal size hands and is very comfortable to play.Second, this thing is a tone factory. Make it jangle or sound like a 12 acoustic. It does it all.Lastly, pickups have hot enough outputs so you don’t have to crank your input signal to get a great level for recording.Conclusion, I have more expensive guitars but have no problem adding this to my collection.

Beautiful looking and sounding guitar. Came setup, no adjustments needed. I have been playing for over 40yrs, have had some really high end Fenders and Martins but I feel I would have been better off with Danelectros. I had tried a Michael Kelly 12 string that costs more than this and Danelectro blew it out of the water.

Guitar came in and I thought I had an intermittent problem with the switch. I figured it was dirty and when I brought it in to the luthier for new strings and a professional set up he could clean it. Turns out it was not the switch. It is one of the lipstick tube pick ups. I have tried to contact Danelectro thru the support page provide by Amazon. There has been no response. If the guitar worked properly and you do not need service this is a great guitar. But it is worthless if customer service is needed. Because customer service from this company seem to be non existent.Just wanted to add to this review. Customer support got in touch with me. I was informed they were on vacation. I was sent a replacement pick up. I give 4 stars only because a response sooner stating they were on vacation would have been nice. The guitar itself deserves way more then 5 stars. This guitar is a dream to play and sounds incredible.

This is easier to play than Roger McGuinn's ax. At this price point, who needs a Rickenbacker? The bridge allows for individually adjustable intonation, though it's ready to go out of the box. The push/pull lipstick humbucker makes the bridge tone more versatile than I expected. The hollow (completely sealed) body is very light and this offers zero feedback or unwanted overtone. Fair to also note the pickups have a nice warm bite and all, or as little jangle, as you'd ever ask for. They read 8.75 output on my multi-meter. Well done Danelectro!

I thought that someday i'd get me a rickenbacker, and this would hold me over.Nope. Never gonna buy a Rickenbacker.This guitar is superior. Hands down. It covers everything jangly and more I could ever want.
