Camshaft Gear Locking Tool
Function: Hold the camshaft gear, locking the gear in a right position.
Tips: The camshaft gear locking tool have two part, one is concave, and one convex,
when you install them, first you need install the convex, then install concave, if the step is not right , you can't install it in gear.

Worked great for doing a 2009 Saturn Astra timing belt. The two piece cam gear wedge fit a little too tight so I couldnt insert it more than 3/8", but that was more than enough. It was in and secure enough that I felt confortable proceeding with the job. Great value and decent build quality.

The kit made replacing the Timing Belt on my 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.8L so much easier. I used only the camshaft-sprocket locking tool + the transmission locking tool and that was enough to keep everything firmly locked at TDC (top-dead-center). This also negated having to remove the valve cover.The camshaft locking blocks required a lot of persuasion and effort to get installed - so much that I thought they were too big and incorrectly machined. Otherwise, a great kit. Hopefully I’ll be able to use it on the next timing belt change at 200k miles.
