I ordered the kit, and the threads did not mesh. The rod would not stay in place that attaches to the gauge inside the sleeve therefore I couldn't use it, so I sent it back for another one and gave the company the benefit of the drought. I was wrong the second one had the same problem. I was trying to time a pump on a vw rabbit motor in a sailboat. This put me back several days, I was very disappointed and do not recommend for anyone timing a pump.

Looks good initially untill you go to use it. The dial indicator action is rough. The pintle extensions DO NOT fit the pintle. The threads on the pintle extensions are a smaller size. The pintle extensions DO NOT fit inside a Bosch VE injector pump so if you are buying it to set the timing on your injector pump it wont work. At least it would not on mine.The plus i was able to use the pump to indicator adapter, it is in a nice case to keep it secure and there are lots of little peices that you will probably never use but will make you look smart when you show your friends lol

The dial indicator is rough and jumpy, you need to average out the results and hope it will be accurate enough.I used this kit to do the cam, pump, and pump lift timing on a VW IDI 1.6 engine.The cam lock is thin and you could find other flat pieces of steel to do the same thing.The injector pump lock pin is a loose fit and a socket would work just as well or better.I ended up buying other tools to do a better job. I have very low confidence in the accuracy of the timing done with this set. I suppose it is better than nothing but there are better tools out there for timing these diesel engines.The description mentions VW TDI with the AHU and 1Z engines, the dial indicator is not needed on TDI pumps. The cam and pump locks can be used from this kit but they are poor fitting and allow the cam and pump to rotate. You can use any flat steel and shims to adjust the cam, a socket can be used to lock the pump.The AHU, 1Z, ALH TDIs need a proper scan tool to adjust the pump timing.The price of this kit is too high for how low quality it is.
