I ordered this to use in my garage when I need to get at those hard to reach factory hose clamps. The end of this is very good and clamps nicely when you squeeze the plier handles. The ratchet works well to hold it where you left off and then releases when you press the blue tab on the side of the pliers. The pliers is very good feeling in your hand and has a great PVC coating on the handles so you won't slip on the handles. The cable is well made and overall quality is great. I would order this again and recommend these to others. This even comes with a nice thank you message inside.

Marginally acceptable for light DIY work. The stop lever that holds the pliers closed works very poorly and binds when it is not supposed to and does not when it should. The traditional hose clamp pliers that dont have an extension cable work much better

These are good hose clamp pliers. The handles feel pretty comfortable and are non-slip. The cable is thick and coated, and it can handle a good range, from 10-50mm. The included a little slip of paper with some basic instructions. A visual would have been good, but it's worded well. The release lever is a little tricky, because if you release it without pressing the handles, it snaps open and the handles release. The trick is to slightly squeeze the handles, then the release lever is very smooth and without a jerking motion. They're well made, and the price is fair, so I was on the fence between five stars and four, but because the only criticism I had was very minor, I gave them all five.

Getting to those hard to reach locations when it comes to hose clamps can be a real challenge, getting those pliers into those places with your hands can sometimes be impossible. This tools helps work around those issues. It has a long reach, easy to maneuver mechanism so you can get it right on top of the clamps and then squeeze the handle to close the jaws on it. The release level is a bit wonky, but overall the tool feels solid and well built. A great addition to any mechanics toolbox.

These extended pliers are life savers, particularly with those dreadful hose spring clamps. Especially when they are located deep within the engine compartment. My upper radiator hose has this exact type of clamp on its radiator side connection. It's impossible to reach with a normal plier in my hands due to the deep position, but also because of some extremely limited overhead workspace. The clamping end of this plier fits. Compared to all of my regular pliers, this is practically the size of a toothpick, so I eventually was able to finesse it onto the awful spring clamp. It still took effort due to the clamp's orientation and position, but regardless, it was finally removed.This plier's ratcheting action is super helpful too. It made things easier on my hands and prevented any of the painful cramping I usually have while trying to hold a clamp in the open position. When I put the spring clamp back in place, I was able to use this tool to position it with better orientation, so it'll be easier to access for any future maintenance.The pliers steel arms that pull the cable when squeezing the handles are in fact thicker than they looked in the stock photographs, which made me think they might flex under heavy strain. Believe me, these did not bend or flex in any way whatsoever. A very helpful and necessary tool for anyone who does their own vehicle maintenance as I do. I would definitely want these again, if I had a do-over. Thank you for these extension sping clamp pliers.
