I've accepted that even trusted brand tools have all lost quality and are now 'disposable'. I love my 40-50 year old hand tools I got from my father. they still work and are as tough as can be. they live in my shop. I have my secondary tools to use out side of my shop. bought this "Vise grip" to add to that secondary set. well, they're just plain garbage. Not sure what they are to be used for, maybe a paper weight. it literally won't hold anything. as soon as you clamp down on something, the jaws just twist at the pivot and it falls off. this is even BEFORE you try to lock it. I think I might have better luck grabbing a bolt with an hand full of overcooked spaghetti. Even if you're just bastardizing a trusted brand for profit, how can you make garbage like this and still sleep at night?

Buena longitud de las puntas. me permite agarrar tuercas de dificil acceso, por ejemplo cuando las tuercas están entre otras tuercas y no hay casi espacio para maniobrar con pinzas de puntas anchas.

These are great for removing screws that have a stripped head. These pliers have grooves all the way to the end. I had a different pliers from another company that did not. That is why I had to buy these. Great investment though. These will last forever.

This product is advertised as being made in the USA and was the main reason for my purchase. The feel of the tool is OK but I feel that the chinesium metal it was made of is much less solid than the quality of US made tools. I feel like the teeth inside the jaws would round off and fail much faster due to the softer metal causing the tool to be useless in a couple years. If you need this for only a hand full of uses you should be fine. If you use it regularly then I would try to find something better for your money.

I bought a cheaper brand of this product. It broke after 6 months. Irwin tools quality is great. I've hada vise grip that still works great for over 40 years

This is my THIRD pair in the last few years, I refuse to purchase the kind with the plastic-rubber coating on the handle. Been using vise-grip since I was a Teenager kid 25 years ago. The new pair came in, the tip aligned perfectly and seemed to be of good quality and well machined. I don't know about the picky whiners in the reviews but I highly recommend them. If you know of a better quality brand please DO let me know, id love to buy them and compare. These come in so handy while grinding metal in the belt grinder and so much more.

This is one of those tools that you didn't know you needed until you had it! I bought it to tighten bolts in 4x4 post anchors that were inaccessible to other wrenches because of very tight space. The tool worked great for that, but now I use if for all sorts of things like twisting heavy wire or holding fasteners in tight places where ordinary pliers won't reach. The construction is heavy duty. Likely a life-time tool! . .

This shape is MUCH better than the classic "vice grip" shape. Great for lots of hobby uses (holding, clamping small parts) and also professional shop use. I use it for both. Keeps glue off your fingers. This is an unusually well-made tool. Most tools you buy now are CHEAP. Come on, admit it. These are not cheaply made. Solid, heavy, good finish and a pretty precision fit on the tips and the threads for a pair of pliers.Vise-grips come in a lot of different shapes, including a flat, "duck-bill" for sheet metal that I love. And, yes, the release can pinch your hand if you are not careful, just like on all vice-grips. Practice a bit cautiously at first, if you haven't used a tool like this before. For small parts to work on (such as solder, weld, drill, paint, file) clamp them with these pliers then hold the pliers in a large wooden bench vice. Wrap delicate parts in a piece of paper towel or a cotton shop towel to protect them before clamping lightly. Or, wrap the jaws instead of the part.I buy a bunch of tools from Amazon, and this is one of my happier purchases.
