Bought this for a spring trip to Europe. It was perfect for sightseeing with many pockets, including hidden ones - important for international travel - while stylish and light enough to be worn everyday. So I bought a small and I took this on a 2 week vacation. Yes it did the job, kept me warm in the wind and kept out the rain. With a light sweater shirt layer underneath was decently warm to even around 55ish temperatures.But. I'm around 5'2" and I'm also a pear shape. This fit perfectly as a small around my shoulders, arms and waist. It fitwith enough room to layer lightly underneath. What did not fit were my hips and butt.It zipped up, but BARELY while I was standing and I could not sit down while having it zipped up because this covered my butt completely & it simply wasn't bit enough. I admittedly carry most of my weight in my butt/thighs, but I can see this being uncomfortable overall if you are remotely pear shaped. If the bottom did fit me right (maybe if I lost around 10 pounds) then the top half would be too loose.Overall, I would have returned this but given the timing of my trip and when I received this jacket didn't give me enough time to find something else. It was annoying to have to hold the jacket closed with my arms, but I suppose I managed. Don't recommend it though if you have a body shape like mine.
