I will never buy another one, but this particular product. Make sure you put it as far away from where you gonna be sitting because it will stink bad but within one day of putting it up, it had 2 inches of flies in it just floating around. . I bought it because my neighbor doesn’t clean his dog pen . And flies are just horrible and this works great and I just keep pouring water in it every month to refresh it and then when the flies get up to about halfway, I go dump them out and put a refill in because this company sells refills for the stinky part And put water in it again and the letter rip

I was skeptical but these work. I wish they came with additional bait. Very easy to use. The smell isn’t overpowering either. They come with a tie that is strong enough to mount these puppies up where you need them.

Within a day of putting it up you could see the flies in it. I would definitely recommend. I hung one by my front door and one by my back door and so far none in the house.

I bought this because they were reusable, but I’ve gone back to the throwaway ones because when emptying these out it’s pretty nasty. I have a pretty strong stomach and when opened these up to drain out all the dead flies and the remaining attractant fluid is pretty nasty.

These things are awesome. I hang them from a shepherds hook in the middle of the yard. Leave out one pole if using the hooks so the trap is closer to the ground. They work much better the lower they are. The first one was hung higher and I thought it worked great until I removed a pole from the shepherds hook and hung the 2nd one lower. Within 24 hours there was a solid 2 inches of flies in the canister. I wish they sold this specific bait though. Hopefully the replacements I got work just as well.

These work like majority of fly traps. Not really sure why people are stating they don't. It takes a few days for the stuff to really start to stink. I put one in direct sunlight and one in a shaded area. The sunlight one was activated quickly and I've already had to add water due to the amount of flies. The shaded on attracted but not as much. So it has been moved to the sun as well. I've already ordered more attractant due to needed to completely dump one soon.

I bought this half expecting it not to work. Every time I open my back door to let my dog out, at least one fly would come in the house. I figured if I put this outside my door, any flies that would hang fly outside my door, would take the bait and die before I ever open my door. I’m happy to report that not only has this product caught a dozen flies in 3 days, no flies have entered my house since.

My expectations were high based on seller's claim of 20,000 flies. The container may hold that many over time but don't expect flies fighting to get in (no large horse fly with a velvet rope and flies lined up down the street), but it does work. I followed the directions. Placing the bait was easy and non-messy. But it takes a fews days (about 3) for the bait to really activate. Word of caution: do not hang this in an enclosed area like a garage or anywhere outside you plan on spending time at like a porch or patio. You want to hang these outside away from your house. The bait smells like a 10 day old dead animal. It will stink up your garage and you'll smell it when the breeze blows across your porch. Place it out on a tree limb in the yard or an outbuilding. It does attract flies and once they enter the trap they won't escape. I've had mine up for about a week and I can see activity but I'm not sure how long it will take until I need to empty and replace the bait. The twist ties they provide for hanging the trap seem sturdy and are a nice addition to the product. Overall, if you have a fly problem, this may be a helpful addition to any remediation plan. UPDATE: I moved the trap to the eave of a storage shed and away from the porch. Within a couple of hours there was a marked increase in activity. I've upgraded my rating to 4 stars. Placing closer to the ground and further into the yard seems to be the best placement for these traps. My recommendation is this is a good product for the price, less messy and unsightly than the tacky fly strips and effective.
