The light turns on when you flip it up. But it falls super easily. The sizing keeps falling out.The helmet is made of thick plastic so it is sturdy but the rest of the make is cheap and ineffective. Dont waste your money

Came as expected and it does work when you put batteries in it!!!!! I'm Using this for a Harry Warden Halloween Costume! Wish it came in black so I didn't have to paint it myself tho... but other then that yeah! It's fits pretty well on my big head!! :3

Not worth the $26 (Canadian). Very thin plastic, will crack and break easily if it falls on the ground.Careful ordering from this supplier. If you want to return anything they charge a 15% processing fee and the full cost to return the item.

Worked perfect for the costume I intended it for. I needed to remove the inner fitting so it would fit me (adult). Light weight, wouldn’t expect it to survive must hustle and bustle.

I gave this (as a joke) to my boyfriend who is a data miner. He really got a kick out of it, and it even lights up! He has a really big noggin, so I was surprised that it fit him just right! Good quality, durable plastic. It does say "Lil Explorer" on the stickers on either side, though. I would have preferred if it didn't have those stickers.

This is a fun little hat that we bought for a miner costume when studying Chile for an International Festival that we do every year. I like that it has an adjustable band inside to fit various size heads. If the adjustable band was not there, it would fall off of most heads because of the added weight from the light that makes it a little bulky and awkward. The reason I am giving it a 3-star rating is because the light cover keeps popping and coming off. I like the light on it. It came in handy at a Halloween car show when the parking lot lights weren't on yet and it was dark. I just wish the light cover stayed on better. If the light cover stayed on better, I would give this 5-stars.

These inexpensive hats have lasted surprisingly well. For my kids age 5 and 8. And they've been playing with them since Halloween! The light can sometimes be a little finicky, but have always managed to get it on.
