My husband put it up for me. I use it for my herbs. It said the instructions (which I agree) are a pain to read. They don’t go into depth just pictures with short simple steps.

I originally wanted to do a slight offset shelving but opted to wanting the middle row on at least one stud in the wall, that’s why you see the patch job on the wall. Pine steps is what I used(cost $15.00 USD per step) as shelves they were bought were from a big box home improvement store. I sanded the shelves with 220 grit sandpaper, pre-conditioned the shelves and stained afterwards. As for assembling the pipes and mounting them to the wall, that takes a bit more work and is a little tricky. Overall, it took me almost two hours by myself to install. My biggest suggestion is to do a loose dry fit of all the pipes and not over tighten them down. Because, when installing you will do them in sections/parts instead of all at once. The first part is dry fitting and installing the first straight pipe with flange and elbow. Once you found your spot to mount the first pipe, you will want to take note where the elbow is pointing, you will need to make adjustments so the elbow is pointing up and is snug NOT overly tighten.Next step is to put the short pipe into elbow, again snug not over tighten as you’ll need to adjust for the next pipe with flange. This next part is where pipes end up loose because of quality control. Attach the t-pipe, snug the piece up and line up the hole facing the wall. Turn the elbow 90 degrees left and attach next pipe and flange, then straighten out. Take note that sometimes you will have to loose the straight bar so you can slide the pipe and flange against the wall. I have a picture of my middle pipe and flange laying on the shelf but connected to the elbow. Repeat these steps for the rest of the pipes. Please make sure to use a leveling tool.

Shelving came out nice, no issues with the quality of the pipes. Easy to install and customizable if you can imagine.

Good quality here, but you'll want to be real sure where you're putting each support. I skipped the drywall anchors and used 2x screws into each flange, right into the wall studs. The key here is that each support has to be level with the others. Take the time to make sure they're level. I have a laser level which helped a lot, but an old school bubble level will work as long as it's long enough to span multiple supports. I did mine every other stud, to the supports are 32" apart, making for 6' wide shelves.

I love this shelf. It is perfect. We used 1x10s for the shelves and stained them white. Installing was a little annoying. Aligning it up so it’s level was a pain and took patience but the end results are beautiful

I buy these in different versions and create my own shelf configurations. They are wonderful, cheaper than buying them individually at Home Depot.

It was very hard to get any angles to lineup and still be tight against the pipes went ahead and assembled it on the wall and then tighten the pipes as it was built, but looks amazing. And yes, I know I have it overweighted. Make sure you hit the studs and use hollow wall anchors if you can’t.

Be sure to read the product info - you have to supply your own planks! My husband purchased this set for me for Christmas. They are even more beautiful than I had hoped. The pipes create a very sturdy hold and, after some initial maneuvering & measuring, they were easy to set up. I would say they are more time consuming than complicated. You definitely need at least 2 people to be able to hold things up, level, and space them out correctly. These shelves require you to drill about 60 holes, which is a ton, but if you want them to hold heavy things, it’s worth it. I would recommend these, and actually just purchased a second set for our office.

We took a punt on buying these but they are literally unable to be assembled straight. Hubby’s a tradie so he tried hard to make this work. Off to get custom ones made.
