These things are a beast. I use them all the time cutting big stuff-- cutting wool insulation, sheet metal, automotive carpet, poster board for templates, etc. The surprising thing is that they cut delicate stuff like paper just as well. Blade is replaceable, and frame is well built.

I use these everyday for work. Cuts shingles like butter.Be carful when shingles are hot on a sunny summer day. The tar sticks to the blades and slows it down and gets sticky.Also the screws fall off over time, just put some thread locks and keep eye on them.

They will not cut through siding easily.
