Keyboard came on time and fits perfectly , took me 5 minutes to replace the old one and so far this one is working as expected. the material seems of good quality.

Installing this keyboard is NOT simple. The frame must be pushed back in order to get access to 6 tiny screws (phillips). When pushing the frame back to access the screws it is easy for your tool (small bladed screwdriver) to slip and tear out a key. Once the keyboard is in place you need to secure it with the 6 small screws, have a GOOD tiny phillips screwdriver. Pushing the frame back into place is tedious also. I still have a key (H) that rubs the frame no matter how much I push it back. This is a backlit keyboard, keys B,N,M,K,I are much brighter than other keys. All that said, it is a nice keyboard for the price. I suggest that you remove and reinstall your old keyboard a few times in order to get the feel for hoe it installs.

first off, I've replaced the keyboard on my thinkpad about 5 times over the last 6 years (probably about 1x per year) and this is the first time I couldn't find an OEM keyboard. I bought this one due to the lack of choices but figured it couldn't be all bad. Well, let's start with the installation. This was the hardest keyboard to slide the protective cover under the keys up to get to the screws. There is no rigidity to it when it's not in the case at all, it's like a wet noodle. I perservered, however and installed it. Once installed it seemed to work ok, until a reboot. Upon reboot, the mouse pointer was no where to be found using the trackpoint . after about 30 seconds it started to respond and I was able to use it. Next day, get online and same thing with the mouse. Luckily this machine also includes a touch pad (which I LOATHE) so got working with that and then habitually used the trackpoint and it was alive again. Sent a couple of emails and suddenly my mouse pointer just flies up to the top and left of the screen. A few seconds later, it's back. Go to make coffee, come back and wake up my computer, track point is not working, AT ALL. It's been 20 minuts and it hasn't come back. Luckily I can still work with the touch pad, but I hate that thing. I then decide to test the keyboard backlight, just to make sure it works, and it doesn't. I searched for a backlit keyboard, but apparently the listing I purchased says "without back lit" which broke the search and I guess I should've been more careful on that one but still. If I didn't need the keyboard installed right now I'd just return the stupid thing

I'm assuming it's an easy install they give you a video on how to do it. But I haven't installed it yet. Tho I do like the texture of it but sadly. When I got it the (".") Key was missing no biggie I'm not mad the box that came with it like shipping was tourn to spreads. It's okey. Again no worries. But when I got it I felt like it was perfect just like when I bought the computer new. With my keyboard I my windows key was broken thats why I got it. So I'll order another one and then do another update :)

This was the easiest keyboard replacement I've ever done. To be fair that's Lenovo's engineering but the keyboard itself fits perfectly and works great.The track point isn't working at all. This is likely my fault because I pulled the smaller ribbon cable out twice while it was locked trying to finagle it into place. I cannot ding the keyboard itself for that.YouTube has a great video on replacing the keyboard for this specific model. It's super simple. A slide, four screws, and two ribbon cables.

Ordered 2 pcs only got 1 pcs without any notice, and gave me a wrong Keyboard I need try take off 2 crew to make the keyboard flat and put in, really a pain.

I had a key break and others were stick so rather then replace individual keys at about $6 each it made more send just to get an entirely new keyboard. Here are my observations after my install.......- The keyboard was a breeze to install. A helpful video is referenced in the documentation that came with the keyboard . Im glad I watchED it because otherwise just going at it I would have had no clue and probably damaged the laptop.- The video went so far as to identify 2 screws in the new keyboard that potentially may not be used which was my case and I was thankful for that tip so I didn't worry about why the captured screw in the new keyboard would not grabp.- The keyboard is super easy to remove and install and can be done in 5 minutes.- You will need a small jewelers type Phillips head screw driver.- The keyboard worked perfectly 1st time from joy stick to lights and had a better typing feel then the original (however that was perhaps more due to the food crumbs and other litter that worked its way beneath the keys;))- The reference tabs on the "F" and the "J" are more pronounced and easier to feel then was on the original keyboard. Another feature I am grateful for.Conclusion:Easy to install that perhaps takes 5 minutes after review the how-to video and had a better feel then the original keyboard.
