We did a lot of research before settling on this one. It did not disappoint. The only issue I have is that a few of the pieces came dented but fortunately for us they are in places where it’s not as easy to see. It is a bit challenging to put together but with some focus (and wine) it can be done. It’s easy to clean if you keep up with it. As others have suggested, add a little more oil than it recommends in the instructions.I definitely recommend this product. Just get it. You’ll really up your movie night game.

I must admit I was a little disappointed with the first 2 batches. The popcorn was dry almost as if it were air popped and tasted kinda stale, not very flavorful. Thanks because I followed the directions. Then I thought back to when we made popcorn on the stove as kids and adjusted the recipe. The directions say add the oil & popcorn at the same time. No, add the oil 1st and let it heat up. Also add enough oil to cover the entire bottom of the kettle, about twice as much as the directions state. When I added more oil & let it heat up first my kernels popped better and faster. The popcorn was fluffy & flavorful, not dry at all and there were very few unpopped kernels. I strongly recommend this machine just don’t recommend their cooking instructions.

I purchased the popular brand first but the company sent me a return that had a huge dent and it was clearly obvious that it was indeed a return.Now I purchased the Olde Midway Vintage one and it's AhhMazing!!! The popcorn taste perfect, it pops fast and it's quiet.The purchase is for my Tenants at the office building I manage and it's large enough for the 26 story building full of tenants even though it looks small you can bag a few then pop more because it is so quick.Easy to put together 30 mins at most and shipping was fast.Only two things - when you put the straw like stem in to hang the bucket - it's not right tightly to screw it in but you need to turn it the left Lucy way instead.The sticker at the bottom could be easier to pull off since food touches it.Otherwise it's super cute and looks great!!Don't waste your time debating like I did just get this one because it is legit.I work in Dallas Texas at a historical boutique office building!!Use the coconut oil recommended to keep the machine cleaner. Doesn't even taste like coconut. We got different salts and that's really all it needs it's so fluffy and delicious. We got the Orville Redden Popcorn in bulk.

I bought this for my husband's birthday to complete his home theater. He loves it! Makes movie night perfect with the scent and flavor of the theater but none of the hassles.It was simple to assemble with decent instructions. Looks very nice, not cheap or chintzy.My experience with the seller was top notch. When FedEx damaged the first one as it was on the truck for delivery to my house, I was notified through the Amazon website it was undeliverable due to carrier damage and that I should expect a refund in 3 to 5 days.I reached out to the seller to explain no one had contacted me, that I'd prefer a replacement rather than a refund since it was for a birthday that was only in a few days' time.They responded promptly, and I had the replacement within two days!This is one of the best seller/buyer experiences I've had, bar none - and I've been at this a long time.HIGHLY recommend both this product as well as this vendor.

This was our big "quarantine purchase" last Spring. I've had it for 8 months now, and I'm so happy we decided to buy it for our theater room. I have used it SO much, and my kids and my husband absolutely love when I make popcorn in it. Another bonus is that it's easier to clean than you'd think, and the open slots on the bottom make it really easy to sweep kernels and those tiny bits of leftover popcorn into so that you can just slide the tray out and dump it all into the trash. Then all it needs is a quick wipedown, and you're done. I haven't had any issues with it since we bought it. I loved that they offered the black and white style option too, since it gives the machine a sleek/sophisticated look to it.For the real deal movie theater popcorn experience, make sure you purchase butter flavored coconut oil, Flavacol, and a butter topping too.
