Popcorn is a cheap, low calorie treat to eat when your family is watching a movie. It’s silly to buy special packs to put in the microwave, when a bottle or bag of kernels is so inexpensive and easy to microwave. A well designed container for popping makes it a lot more convenient. There are no instructions with the box, and I didn’t go back to review the listing when I received it, so I made a thoughtless mistake. I assumed that this was designed to expand during use, with the steam from the popping process causing the container lid to rise. Wrong! The container is too stiff for that. It’s designed to compress for storage, but you’re supposed to manually expand it before use. If you leave the container compressed, you’ll get a cylinder of squashed, partially burnt popcorn. If you use it correctly, that is, pre-expanded, with a half cup of kernels for 3 minutes (at least with our microwave), you’ll get a full bowl of popcorn, with very few unpopped kernels, enough for 2 to 3 people. I like that the lid locks on securely, and that the vent holes are small enough so the kernels can’t escape and that steam is mostly kept inside to keep the popcorn moist. It’s easy to clean and store away. It’s a worthwhile purchase.

Their listing is correct! So easy to use and keep clean. No oil needed. Folding is a perk for smaller kitchens. I'll be keeping mine in our camper. Which is ideal.I think the design is smart and cute locking lid with popcorn shape vent holes. The silicone is extra thick which helps it keep it's upright shape. That also holds heat, keeping your popcorn warm! BUT note that the bottom is actually hot. So take care as to who will be holding it.There's a MAX line for seeds. I can't imagine filling it that high? I didn't even cover the bottom (the center is raised) and it popped up to 2" from the top! I didn't want to pop more than what I did. So I didn't see what would happen if it was filled to the max line. This is well made and easy to eat out of. If your family like a big bowl of popcorn, like I do, you may want to buy one for each of you. Or dump it in to another bowl and repeat. The lid does NOT have any PP markings, so I really don't know what type of plastic was used. I would be happier if they were up front with that.

Convenient way of popping kernels when the kids want a quick snack. I leave in the microwave for about 3-4 minutes while listening until the popping sounds diminish. Toss in butter and salt to taste and shake thoroughly. Works great, easy to clean.

This is specifically made to pop corn in the microwave and it works quite well for that. However, it also can be used to store other things. It does have a few small holes at the top of the lid, to vent the steam, so it isn't going to keep any food well sealed, but it does fold up to half it's size. So I like that I can use it for popping popcorn as well as I can use it to take cookie's to a friend's house and be able to fold it smaller when I am taking it home.

This Silicone Microwave Popcorn Popper – Collapsible Popcorn Maker for Microwave, BPA-Free Silicone Popcorn Bowl with Lid is a convenient tool for making fresh popcorn when I don't want to get my air popper out. Technically you could use any microwave safe bowl with a vented lid or paper plate on top, but this is convenient because the lid locks. It does collapse which saves a bit of space in the cabinet.Cleaning it is fairly easy, but as with any silicone things, it tends to get things that stick to it so you have to be thorough. The reason for a star reduction is there are zero directions included. On the product page there are directions and information about times and amount of popcorn, but there are none on or in the box. I shouldn't have to guess or come back to the listing to confirm the correct usage.
