It had two little bearings that a small shaft rides and balances on, both bearings pushed out of the plastic sleeve that held them. They were too small for the shaft, I throughit in the trash, do not buy !!!!!!

Bought this because I have a lot of fishing rods and buy bigger spools to save money...says you can use a 5inch wide spool but you can’t because if it try’s to rotate it bangs against the rod making it useless...have not tried small ones but i bought for the bigger ones...save your money
