Many GM, (and sometimes Ford And Dodge) fuel pumps don't give you hardly any room for conventional fuel release tools. This design is sneaky enough to be able to release the fuel lines without having to destroy the fuel pump to release the fuel lines. If none of your current fuel release tools are small enough to release the fuel lines from the plastic pump, this is the tool that you need!

I have owned a few different types of disconnect tools. While I could usually get them to work after a lot of trial and error this one is by far the best. I screwed around for an hour trying to disconnect the lines at the tank.of my 95 Bronco. I ordered this out of shear frustration. I did lubricate the fittings multiple times and still no luck. I used this tool and had both fittings release the first go and was done in under a minute. This design although similar to other tools is longer and beefier. Not sure how other reviewer bent theirs. Just push the fitting forward slide this tool around hose and push forward to release clip. This tool has a very positive click. Thank you OTC for making a quality tool at a reasonable price.

I used this on my 98 GMC Sierra to remove the fuel lines from the tank to replace a blown in tank line. It's correctly recessed to allow the tool to release the locks without destroying the sender. None of my other fuel line tools could quite sneak in there, but this one does.

ordered this tool to replace the cheap plastic tool that I had and never worked properly. This OTC tool works great and saved a lot of time and frustration.

Tool works as expected. It took a bit to figure out how to do a push/pull at the same time, but if you've ever used one of these, you know what I'm walking about.I've tried the plastic disconnect tools, and they're just not worth the frustration.Spend the extra buck or two on this higher quality disconnect tool, and you'll be glad you did.I'm sure this will last a lifetime.

Best fuel line disconnect tool I have ever owned including the multiple ones I have purchased off the tool trucks. The only difference I see between this one and the one I purchased 25 plus years ago is the old one had a OTC Ford Special Tool number and made in USA. this one is made in Taiwan. Unfortunately I lost my old one, it had disconnected several thousand fuel lines. Worked 10 years at ford dealers ending in 1995. In case you did not know it will also disconnect the older fuel lines with the plastic U shaped retainer, this allows you to reuse the retainer because you don't break it taking it out.

Worked like a champ on the clamp, but I sure wish it was larger. Sadly, the photo leads you to believe this is larger than 3.45" long. It allowed me just enough leverage to get the job done. A guy with large hands may find this one hard to deal with.

Man i struggled with the plastic type disconnect tool for over a hour and could not get the fuel line off. So I gave up and admit defeat for round one and came back to Amazon and bought this metal sissor type tool. Got the tool, got back under my truck, and got the fuel line off in 2 minutes literally!!! WOW, what an amazing difference! I'm keeping this tool in my tool box forever!
