For it being a kit lens, it's pretty good. Overall image quality is pretty good considering this isn't one of Panasonic's Pro lenses. It's not to the level of quality of their 24-105 f/4 or their 24-70 f/2.8 Pro, but it's a good overall lens for photos.

If you can only buy one lens for your Lumix S5 or S5II... get this one. It does everything great. The focal length is perfect for full frame and image quality, color rendition, and contrast are spot on. This is still my go to lens for video when I don't know what to bring.
