The APK-11 is a standing pilot gas valve for fireplace vented burners by Real Fyre. This unit comes with a manual on/off switch as well as an on/off remote to light your fire with ease from anywhere in the room. The valve's low profile design and black receiver box sit neatly inside your firebox, out of the viewing area, carrying a temperature rating of 175°. This gas log control valve utilizes a continuous running pilot, and delivers up to 70,000 BTUs with natural gas or up to 110,000 BTUs with propane. Hardwire this kit to the optional WS-1 wall switch! It comes with a 15 foot wire harness and a rocker switch for easy operation.
Please Note: For use only with specified Real Fyre vented gas fireplace burner systems listed in the specs below. Vented burners must be used in a fireplace that is vented from the firebox through the chimney. The fireplace damper must be kept open during use to allow for appropriate air flow. For your safety, the burner pan and valve must be assembled by a certified gas professional.

Excellent replacement– I purchase this for a set of gas logs when my igniter would not work any longer. It’s been working great ever since I had this new system installed by qualified plumber/gasfitter. My local fireplace dealer could not repair it

For just $400 this remote igniter arrives with ALMOST everything you'll need to install it. Directions are abundantly vague and you need to know enough about plumbing to know that what is missing is a half inch flex valve that is required if you intend to connect it to your RH Peterson Real Fyre gas log burner. Between the outrageous price and not including the flex valve to connect the igniter to the burner, RH Peterson leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It may look fabulous once it's lit after two visits from a plumber and having my brick fireplace restored, it SHOULD be the icing on the cake. Instead, it's an overpriced/incomplete shot of unnecessary frustration. Hence, two stars. I won't know how well my RH Peterson gas fireplace/logs and remote igniter look or function for another week. My fingers are crossed that the trouble is worth it and my overall review then, for 24" RH Peterson Gas Log Burner will be five stars.
