The belt is just slightly wider than belt that came off the machine. It doesn’t fit well into the auger pulley. It burns and is too tight to work. Ran the machine for less than a minute and the belt was burning up. Reordered a different belt. Waste of time and money.

Belts fit my MTD snow blower and did what they were meant to do through a 3 inch of dry snow and a 10 inch heavy wet snow. They even arrived before time stated when ordered.

I have the MTD 31A-611D062 model and had issues with the size of this belt. A little too tight and it rubbed and burned. Since there is no adjustment on the tentioner you have to have the right belt. I ended up calling a local small engine shop and they had the genuine MTD belt in stock for $22 which was slightly bigger. Be warned that you have to remove the bottom cover plate and get the belt under the tension break. You will have to push the tentioner to open the break. I still had to rotate the drive shaft a 1/2 turn and use a screw driver to get the new belt over the drive pully; remove spark plug wire before, but there was definate noticable slack on the belt after install which was clearly different then the generic one. When I laid the genuine belt side by side I couldn't tell there was any size difference, so very close.

These are exact fits however you-tube did not mention the brake on my MTD snowblower. I managed to get the belts wrapped around the brake and not knowing better started the motor. Puff of smoke - belts held but burned due to my mistake
