About this item

  • Features a tone pin that keeps the string completely straight from the bridge to the nut
  • Applies nearly 100% of the string tension downward allowing the string to resonate freely
  • Height adjustments are done via a lateral action adjustment wheel that raises and lowers the tone pin and retains full connection from the string to the bridge plate
  • Gives ultimate mounting flexibility with seven screw holes to choose from
  • A 2 ¼ inch (57 millimeter) string spacing matches many standard bridges

Product Description

Featuring Revolutionary Tone Pin Saddle Design

Strings Straight Through Tone Pin

Strings Straight Through Tone Pin

By removing the "kink" from the string, you harness more vibrational energy into the string giving you increased dynamics and longer, piano-like sustain.

Lateral Height Adjustments

Lateral Height Adjustments

Side to side adjustments of the collar allow the saddle to raise and lower while still retaining full contact with the bridge plate. This allows string vibration to maintain a connection to the body of the instrument as opposed to traditional height adjustment screws.

Intonation Adjustments

Easy Intonation Adjustments

Making precise intonation adjustments has never been easier. Using the included tool or a small Allen wrench, left to right motion will smoothly bring the saddle back and forth.

Arkansas Musicworks got my order here 3 days ahead of scheduled delivery. The "E" adjustment screw was a little cross threaded. Took some time to fix. A quality control issue from Ray Ross. Easy to install on my Jazz Bass. Increased sustain and more mid-range. What I like best is the ease of adjustment. The wheels work great. I would have given it 5 stars of it were not for the cross threaded issue. Compared to my Hipshot bridge. The Ray Ross has a little more sustain. Not The most pretty, but highly functional. Not to mention the double looks I get. Thanks again to Arkansas Musicworks for their quick processing and delivery.

I use that P-Bass ten hours a week live. Yes, even during the pandemic, I live in a free state. The problem with the bass is that it's been with me so long that the nickname of "the wife" is all too relevant. Sometimes I take for granted how awesome it's been to me. Every relationship gets stale and they need to be consciously rekindled. The Ray Ross has done this for me. Like a second honeymoon reigniting the passion in a twenty year old marriage, the tone differences this bridge gives me has made me fall in love with this heavy chunk of wood all over again. The mids are amazing. The feel of the strings is nice and it feels more natural on my hands than it ever has.

Do yourself a favor and pick up one of these bridges. Instant upgrade for any bass. You won’t believe the tone it unlocks. It brought my 25 year old Jackson 4 string bass to life. Also I was very impressed with the customer service. I emailed them asking if I could buy a spare adjustment rod because I bent mine... they sent me a new one immediately. It makes a cheap bass sound like an expensive one for less than $200!I am going to convert all of my basses to Ray Ross bridges from now on.
