We’re up in the colder areas where they use salt on the roads in the winter. Therefore, if you have something on your truck that isn’t perfectly prepped before it’s finish was applied, or if that finish is sub par, it will rust to pieces. Our’s isn’t quite that terrible, after three years it’s still salvageable, but the rust is pretty bad. I’d say the quality of the coating they put on it isn’t that great.

Im 240 lbs so sturdiness is important. Steps are very sturdy if installed correctly. Fits perfectly on 2005 dodge ram 2500 ccsb.

The hardware is completely missing to install the product and is scratched. I tried to send out a question for a discount and have just have the hardware sent, but it only lets me return. Is it possible to get just the hardware and keep these for a discount because of the scratches? Thank you.

bars are made very well, and very heavy duty. bars arrived with a few small chips in the powder coating. The square tubes that are welded to the bracket have about a 2" pocket in them that were never sandblasted or powder coated. This is where all of the salt and road debris will collect in this 2" cubed pocket with no drain hole. I guess I could have sanded and painted all 4 mounts myself, but for 350$ I should not have to and neither should you. Amazon is sending me another pair, hopefully these are properly coated. NFAB claims a 5 year warranty on the finish of these nerf bars, but id imagine that's not realistic with this low of quality control leaving the manufacturer.

I'm giving these two stars because the steps look great on my truck although that's probably the only good thing I can say about 'em. The paint was already starting to chip just putting them on. Thankfully, I work somewhere that does powder coating so I can respray these as soon as they start looking bad. These steps are very heavy, which is a good thing in a way, but makes for a real pain in the hind end when trying to put them on. You need at least two people so grab a buddy to help you! I also hate the idea of these only holding on by the little 3/4" pinch weld and having to drill 12 holes in my truck to mount them. Something with brackets like the Aries steps I have on my F-150 is much sturdier and far easier to put on. The hole pattern on each side is also different, so if you make a jig to mount these like I did, you have to make a separate one for the opposite side. Welds appeared poor and very small and the little tubes you slide the bolts were crooked on both bars. So, to sum this all up, yes they like good, but in hindsight I would have went with some other brand.
