The contact surface is too slippery, it fell out twice in one session. I had to constantly keep an eye on it.

This is the absolute answer to my prayers. I have a really good but generic brace on my AR. The brace is good but rubber portion of the brace that goes around my arm gets bent out of shape when I store it as shown in the pictures. This attachment actually shapes the brace very nicely so that the brace retains the correct shape. It also stabilizes the brace just in the event someone wants to shoulder the weapon.

This fits and works well to prevent deformation of the rubber while in storage. It is a bit smooth so it slides out fairly easily. It appears to be injection molded and not 3d printed. I wouldn't recommend using it on anything under 16 inches...

I really like this product. It provides a lot of rigidity to the SBA3 brace and makes it much more comfortable to use. It's a very simple product that does exactly what it's intended to do. It should be durable enough for what it's used for, fits well, and for the cost, I really couldn't ask more of it. I would however, pay more for a design that has lips on both sides so there's zero chance of it ever slipping out.One major concern of mine is the legality of such a product as Akeyla's review mentions. The ATF has had very inconsistent definitions and enforcement of pistol braces and I can see where a product like this installed on a pistol length firearm could (unreasonably) get someone in trouble. For that reason, I would not feel comfortable having this product on anything under 16" until there's been some specific clarity on that issue.

This shape storage plug is designed for use with the SB Tactical SBA3 brace. The brace plug is designed to help the brace keep its shape while the unit is being stored. The brace is designed to be used by either splitting open at the bottom and surrounded your forearm or to be used bracing up to the forearm. This plug keeps the shape that is needed for both. As others have mentioned, I am not an attorney, and you will want to make sure you are using the brace as intended or you could run afoul of the NFA. The SBA3 Shape Storage Plug looks to have good build quality, and it fits the SB Tactical SBA3 brace perfectly. I can recommend it.

Honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t get this sooner. The SBA3 is solid, but that hollow brace and the wobble? Super annoying. This little plug is stupid simple, but it makes a huge difference. Slides in clean, fits tight, and suddenly the whole setup feels way more solid and dialed in. No more rattling or that cheap-feeling gap in the back—just a clean, snug finish that looks and feels way better.Takes 30 seconds to install, zero tools, and boom—problem solved. If you're running an SBA3 without one of these, you're missing out. It’s like the final touch that completes the look and feel. I can't tell you the laws and if you are supposed to use this while operating, thats up to you. Overall this upgrade is totally worth it.

NFA disclaimer at bottom.If you have an SBA3 brace you know that the lower part of it that goes around your arm tends to deform when it's not in use, or sitting in a safe on the brace. This little guy is a perfect fit, goes right into the arm brace lower section of an SBA3, and when then fastened with velcro does agood job reshaping it back it's normal, aesthetic curvature.No one likes the NFA, but running afoul of it will seriously ruin your firearm owning life. For that reason, when using this product, if you want to remain a law abiding citizen, REMOVE the brace from the buffer tube before insertion, and remove the insert before reinstalling the brace on the buffer tube. Otherwise having the plug installed on an SBA3 while the SBA3 is installed on the (former) pistol would constitute a redesign of the braced pistol into an unregistered SBR, which is a big fat felony.So the plug is great, and does a fine job reshaping things, just be smart about its use. Know the law, be smart, and stay safe.
