These pickups are exactly as advertised. Slightly scooped mids. Not overly hot. Pairs well with my Tone Monster preamp.

Easy install anyone can do with basic soldering tools and skills. Wiring diagram comes with the kit. 3 conductor wiring. And YES, I think you'll like the result, a LOT. I already liked my PRS Kingfisher, but I like it a lot more now! And thanks, Mike, that helped.

If you own a prs king fisher bass these are the pick ups are for you. Alot of people complain the king fisher pick ups are underwhelming and its true. These bad boys fit like a glove and really make the bass punch and sparkle.

Sound good but an additional 1-2 inches of pickup wire length is recommended. I had to do some splicing. These pickups are fitted into a variety of different sized wiring cavities. No wants to have to splice wires together especially multiple wires to get sound. Additionally, volume output of these passive soap bars is not very robust. If you want to seriously rock the house you are better off with active soap bars vs. passive. I only wish there was more passives to choose from in this price range. Not over-whelmed.

Great upgrade on my Schecter C-4 since I didn't want active pickups. The stock ones worked as passives, but didn't have the presence of the Seymour Duncans.

I've used these in custom bass builds, especially for jazz and rock players. A quality set for a great price, with the famous Duncan quality. Couple this with a Duncan preamp-- I use the STC 3P-- and you're very good to go!
