This is a killer wiring harness. With the Fishman battery pack, this is the crown atop the king of Bass' head. You can adjust the overall bass tone with a turn of the screw.inside the wiring cavity. That's not even where all your tone will be stacked either. Mine goes from soft deep bass to the Klang of an industrial yard, and everything in between! Threw it in with a NYC at the bridge.and a quarter lb.er at the neck and I have a glorious beast that can purr like a tiger. Awesome stuff all yall at Seymour Duncan, thanks!

This preamp does what it's supposed to do. I like it. But there were issues that should not happen at this price point. The leads on the balance pot where the hot pickup wires go are not tabs with holes. They are little pins. It makes it difficult to solder. The volume pot leads were loose. After wiring everything up the volume control was always on. This was beacuse of a loose lead that I had to crimp down tight to make a solid connection. It worked after I did that. The plugs that connect to the circuit board could have a lower profile to make it easier to fit in smaller cavities. If it was easier to solder and that pot wasn't loose I'd give it 5 stars.

When I finally got to put this in the bass I wanted to use it in and got it wired up there was no sound. Tried several different ways to wire and nothing worked. Checked the schematic and two of the wires were wrong so after switching them and wiring it back up. Still no sound. Oh and did I mention it was no longer returnable by this point. Seymour Duncan customer service was no help either as they didn't even bother to respond to the email sent to them. So very much feel like I got ripped off for the money.

I replaced my stock Ibanez GSR200 circuit with this, along with SD P/J pickups. The combination is fantastic. Provides me a sufficient variety of tones (I am an amatuer beginner player) for my purposes. I like my bass a lot more now compared to before.

I've used these in prior custom bass builds, and they are top-shelf quality bass preamps! Clear instructions, nice kit, what more can I ask for? I've used these with the Duncan passive soapbar bass pickups and with musicman-style bass pickups.

In search of more tone control, I ditched my old Bartolini NTCT and put the STC-3P in my P-J Washburn B-80. I kept the Barolini pickups I put in 15 years ago, and was thrilled to have control of them, and allow them to sound the way they should. Easy to dial in a growl with a tweak of the mids and lows, and easy to find a crisp attacking sound by dialing back. Tonal options are incredible. I am mad at myself for not doing this sooner.
