I used this to mount the underwater housing for a Tough TG7. Very sturdy construction and comfortable hand grips. Highly recommended

I have been shooting underwater photos and videos for many years and have utilized a variety of cameras and lighting systems finding that I prefer a really good quality compact Canon G-series camera and housing with specialized multi-mode lights that deliver my own unique style of images and videos. This setup allows me to get close up to certain subjects while remaining able to squeeze thru tight quarters of underwater shipwrecks and caverns and requires the use of a good, solid camera tray with dual handles and 1-inch ball mount capability like this really nice Aluminum Alloy Underwater Video Light Stabilizer Tray (camera tray). This tray comes with a GoPro style mount for really small cameras but the primary mounting mechanism is the standard 1/4-20 screw mount so virtually any underwater camera housing will work with this camera tray. This tray is exactly what I needed in preparation for an upcoming dive trip into a variety a cenotes where being compact allows for underwater maneuvering through tight cavern and cave tunnels.

This tray is handy and lightweight and does what all the other trays out there offering for a much better price. Screw fits GoPro housing and I can attach some additional lights for underwater video. Why searching any further?

Just the right size for a Gopro compatible camera and a pair of lights. Other than a strange pair of drill holes that I couldn't figure out what they're for, it does exactly what I wanted and the price is right.

The build quality seems to be good. It’s not rocket science to put handles on machines flat bar stock. I do like that the thumb screw for the GoPro mount is a captured design. That’s a nice touch. I ordered two of these so my wife and I both would have one. The reason for three stars is that both of them have defective GoPro 1/4-20 mound adapters. It’s easy to see how the GoPro housing is not sitting square on the bracket. So, I’m going to go spend $25-30 to get some nice aluminum adapters to make this bracket work right. Is it still cheaper than the Backscatter or Ike Lite brackets after that? Absolutely. Just know going into it that you probably will need to buy some other hardware. I will come back and update this review in a few months to state how the screws all hold up during my ten day dive trip. I have high hopes they won’t corrode.

I bought this to mount an Olympus PT-058 housing for the TG-5 camera. It comes with just one center mounting screw with a plastic knob and it was not possible to tighten that enough so the housing moved around while I tried to use it. Fortunately, the Olympus housing has three threaded holes on the bottom so I used two stainless screws with washers in those holes to securely mount the housing to this tray.

If you are like me, you shop around and you research items before you make a purchase. That is what I did with this grip..I looked at dozens of them and read reviews. I decided on this grip based on price, description and reviews.I will be using this for scuba diving. It is solid, well made and the grips are comfortable. All three of my cameras attach with ease and I am able to mount and underwater light directly to this grip and mount a GoPro on top of the light. With additional clamps, arms, brackets and lights...this grip is prefect and every bit as good (if not better) than grips I have used that cost many times what this one does.

This is a well made handle. I am using it with a TG-6 in a housing, and it offers excellent room on either side for your hands, but more importantly, stabilization while scuba diving. Materials seem well made, and the 1inch balls are perfect for standard arm attachments. Good cost effective product!
