Handlat mycket Smallrig till min förra kamera, Sony A1, denna gången något mer exklusivt till min Z8 och jag blev inte besviken, samma otroliga passform och instruktioner för inpassningen är suberp! Läs den dock ordentligt innan för bästa inpassning, jag gjorde inte så det tog tid att förstå!Det som gör denna xtrabra är att buren täcker hela batterifacket på undersidan, hittade ingen annan som gör!Supernöjd som alltid med Smallrig trots made in China!

Das SmallRig-Cage passt sehr gut an der Nikon Z8. Durch die zweifarbige Ausführung und as geschwungene Design wirkt das Teil sehr elegant. Durch die vielen Anschlussmöglichkeiten ist es sehr vielseitig einsetzbar und überaus stabil. Gerade in Verbindung mit großen Teleobjektiven wird das Handling sehr verbessert, da gerade auf der linken Kameraseite (von hinten gesehen) eine zusätzliche Griffmöglichkeit besteht. Durch die Gestaltung des Handgriffs wird die Kamera wirksam geschont.Durch das Cage wird die Z8 noch etwas voluminöser und schwerer, was aber durch das gute Handling aufgewogen wird. Sehr praktisch ist auch die Gestaltung der Bodenplatte, die mit dem Arca-Swiss-System kompatibel ist. Für die Fans des PeakDesign-Systems stehen auch genügend Befestigungspunkte zur Verfügung.

In my search for a camera cage or L bracket that would provide ease of use and additional protection for my camera, I came across this particular cage after reading several positive reviews. It appears to be well-designed and easy to attach, although removing the strap eyelets from the camera proved to be a more challenging task.

I used this camera cage for a long video shoot and it was instrumental in helping maintain a consistent angle and stability. The handle is comfortable and allowed me to keep the camera flat and steady without having to use both hands to point and shoot the camera. The cage itself is made out of aluminum and doesn't add that much weight to the camera rig.

The clamp for cables works without bending the plug. No need to remove the socket cover because it folds out of the way. The clamp itself folds out of the way. No need for tools. Arca-Swiss plate is awesome and allows the camera to sit flat on a table. Feels good in your hands, very ergonomic. Absolutely beautiful fit and finish. Great product!

Ce n'est pas ma première cage Smallrig, c'est la première fois que je suis déçu... Ouverture du compartiment batterie assez fastidieux Mais le plus décevant pour ma part c'est cette poignée où le système de fixation est à revoir. Même serré de manière très forte à l'aide d'une clef pour faire "levier", on ressent une micro vibration, c'est léger mais suffisant pour que cela affecte la rigidité de l'ensemble... J'ai l'impression qu'on paye plus pour le design que pour la bonne fonctionnalité.Update : Smallrig est venu vers moi suite à mon commentaire, ils n'ont pas vraiment reconnu le problème de fixation (il m'on conseillé d'utiliser un outil pour viser la poignée), mais m'ont tout de même proposé de m'envoyer une poignée à fixation rapide. Je leur ai expliqué quand même qu'à ce prix là et surtout pour un boitier professionnel qu'est le z8, nous n'avons pas le temps en plein tournage de sortir des outils pour sortir une poignée ou ouvrir une trappe à batterie... Pour moi ce produit est très beau mais très inadapté à un setup run&gun. J'ai donc renvoyé le produit par amazon et commandé le kit 3940 ayant déjà une poignée à fixation rapide, j'ai de ce fait, fais une économie de près de 100€... !

The fit and finish of this cage and top handle is outstanding and the attention to detail in the design is amazing. It looks and feels like you're surrounding your Z8 in luxury - not just a simple utilitarian cage. If you want your Z8 to look like a Ferrari put this cage on it. The gold colored trim piece under the Smallrig logo is such a touch of class.The cage itself works great and fits the camera well. I do wish the triangular ¼"-20 tightening knob on the handle was able to be torqued down a little tighter so that the handle felt super secure when it's attached to the cage. I shouldn't be able to wiggle the handle at all once it's tightened down, but I can. There's just a tiny bit of play left-to-right.
