Perfect for teaching a toddler how to ski!The straps that go around the legs are a bit long ( we have a tall 4 year old but that also means we’ve got lots of life left with it

I primarily just wanted something I could use to lift my kiddo up on the chairlift with as he likes the lift more than the magic carpet as we get him used to ski's. The harness design is very comfortable for him and he doesn't seem to mind wearing it. I have yet to let him go out with the leashes but they also seem to be very stout and connect in the harness portion of the pack securely. The helmet hammock is also a nice addition and it also seems to have a strap setup for mounting ski's. The straps also have the ability to be secured and tucked up out of the way so nothing is dangling and you're not worried about the kiddo getting snagged on something as they exit the chairlift. We'll definitely be using this thing the next couple seasons and it will likely go to my daughter after he's become a little shredder on the mountain and we start to get her going on ski's.

The Dachgo backpack fits my 4 year old well. The straps have elastic for less shock on the skier, a nice touch. There is ample storage space in the backpack and a mesh helmet carrier is included, though for me that has little value.Overall a good choice.

Wow, what an excellent harness! The leg straps are really helpful, and allow me to pick up my toddler from multiple different angles. We are having a great time with this, and are very glad we chose this product. 10/10 would recommend to any parents trying to teach their toddler how to ski!

This is a great backpack which helps when your kiddos are learning to ski or snowboard (or any other downhill sport). It has different connection points so you can customize the way you add the leash based on whether you're child is doing skiing or snowboarding, and whether they're going straight downhill or turning. The build seems to be decent. The material is on the thicker side vs. some other backpacks I've used, and the zippers and buckles seem to be good quality. Stitching seems to be good as well with no loose seams, and most areas double stitched for durability. I'd say the material is water-resistant, but not 100% waterproof. Would be good for most winter situations which you'd be using it, but I suspect it may leak under heavy, extended rain - not times I'd be out practicing winter sports with the kids anyways.Lots of straps and buckles on this bag to hold skis, poles, etc, and there's even a mesh helmet holder to hold your child's helmet onto the backpack, which conveniently stores in the bottom of the bag.The pack itself includes enough space for snacks, extra gear, or other various items. The shoulder straps are padded, and it's got an adjustable waist belt to help with comfort, and ensure a snug fit. Don't want you kiddo slipping out of the backpack going down a hill!Overall we're really happy with this backpack. It fits my children well, and really has helped us a lot in trying to improve their downhill skiing!

- Straps are really nicely padded!- Top handle and straps are durable and easy to grab with gloves- Zipper pulls are bright and easy to open- Backpack size is big with great pocket options. Probably bigger than I’d use regularly with my 3.5 year old for on the slopes (see the photo comparing size to the yellow backpack we’ve been using with kiddo on the slopes)…. But good for an older kid to carry all their gear from the parking lot, and maybe on the slopes.- Crotch strap is versatile (and I will actually be using it on a smaller backpack)- I wish the chest buckle had a whistle. I think this should be a safety default for any backpack that is marketed for the outdoors, we do a lot of backcountry hiking…but maybe some folks prefer no whistle so it’s not a tempting toy.- Overall good quality and amenities for $34- -Review of “Ski and Snowboard Harness for Kids: Teach Your Child The Fundamentals of Skiing or Snowboarding - Adjustable Leash and Removable Seat Harness - Ski Backpack Training Harness for Kids “

This little backpack is genius! I didn't know such a thing existed. What drew me to it first was that you can use it to teach your kids how to go down the hill, without worrying about them careening out of control. You attach the little straps to the backpack, put the backpack on the kid, and off you go. Obviously you'll need to be a decent skier/snowboarder to control how fast your kid is going but that is not a problem for us. The backpack clips securely across the chest and waist and even under the legs if needed. You'd obviously want to be very careful when going on a ski lift with the lease out (maybe take it off) so it doesn't get caught up in anything. There's also two different places for handles so you can quickly grab your child if needed. The other plus is that this is a functional backpack. There's lots of different pockets to store mitts/hats/snacks/drinks etc. for your little on the hill. Even once they are past the stage of needing support, they can use this backpack to carry their gear to and from the hill or even wear it on the hill if they want to. The backpack is made of good, quality material and should last several seasons on the hill. This is a really great and almost required addition for any little kid learning how to ski or snowboard ( as well as just keeping all of their stuff together).

Went out skiing with my little. Noticed a bunch of parents using these on the slopes and figured I'd give one a try myself. If you are personally capable of skiing, This does give you some control over the child while the decent the mountain or bunny Hill. Keep in mind that this is still a leash and can hold back a skier for good or for bad. You are tethered to each other so unless you're prepared to stop and rescue from a dangerous situation you'll be going down too.The bag itself is well made. Had two straps one for each hand hold on to. Found that it worked well for our situation getting our toddler down the bunny slope.has room to store her gloves and beanie in the back.

Really nice teaching tool for kids learning how to ski. The hardware is thick and feels strong and does a great job of helping to prevent barreling down the slope. It's smartly designed and the bungee helps to make the stopping less abrupt. The material is sturdy and holds up well to being covered in snow

I have ordered a few of these ski harnesses for my grandsons who are learning to ski and I think this one is the nicest harness with the best features. First of all it is well made. The seams are reinforced and the straps are wide and padded. The backpack itself is large enough to be able to hold a water bottle, a small lunch and maybe an extra pair of gloves. The backpack measures 8.5” wide by 11.5” tall and 3” deep. Most of the other harnesses have tiny backpacks that won’t even hold a small water bottle. In addition to the main compartment, the backpack has a small zippered pocket in the middle and a tiny pocket on the very bottom that holds a bag used to attach the child’s ski helmet to the backpack. This is a very nice and very convenient feature. The guide strap that attaches to the backpack has a stretchy bungee cord section that allows the child to be held and controlled without any strong jerks or pulls that could cause the child to fall. The guide strap is long and easily adjustable to give the parent control over how fast and how far the child can go. There are a number of different ways to attach the guide strap depending on what aspect of skiing you are trying to teach. There are 2 gray handles on the backpack that aid the parent in assisting the child up after a fall. There is an optional strap that goes between the child’s legs and attaches on the sides of the backpack for extra and added security. There are 2 additional adjustable blue straps on the top and bottom of the backpack that can be used to attach a snowboard or the child’s skis.My grandson is 5 and he just started learning how to ski. His parents really like using this backpack harness and they said it not only makes it safer for the child but it also makes it much easier and less stressful for them. This is a wonderful, sturdy and well made harness that no beginner skier should be without.

Listen, my 2.5 year old has EVERYTHING we need stored in here. Boots, gloves, helmet, goggles, skis and water bottle. Great harness system. Has a removable under crotch harness which is safer for little when getting them off and on a lift. If they were bigger kids, at least skis, helmet/goggles/gloves and water bottle would fit. Good quality. Buy it!
