+is made from strong material-is less comfy than my dip belt-isn't adjustable in any way and there's no reason for it not to be-stitching is all over the place-metal loops are poorly coated and flakingOverall really not impressed. The company do make a pillow belt which looks a lot.

Its not often I write product reviews but I felt given the rave reviews about the Spud belt I would add some balance. Ive worked out for 37 years and at the age of 57, squatting and deadlifting have taken its toll, so I looked for an alternative. Hence the Spud belt. I have repurposed a dip belt and tbf that wasnt bad and Ive managed to get 120kg on that via a barbell, blocks and a landmine in my home garage gym. So I thought the Spud would be a far better bet and the answer to my problems. I was wrong. The thing digs in like hell but given my wife had spent £90+ for my birthday on it, I gritted my teeth and got with it. Three workouts in and it still digs in and is uncomfortable as hell at the bottom of the squat, no matter what angle of attack I use. Ive also tried it on a loading pin with 120kg, same result. On the plus side, its very well made and will probably stand up to years of use/abuse in the commercial environment it was designed for, on a belt squat machine. So short of throwing it on the pile of equipment I havent used in a decade at the back of my garage, what am I to do with it?The only option is to cover the belt and the straps in heavy duty foam and pipe lagging. So buyer beware. Its certainly wasnt the answer to my squat day but hey it could work as others have mentioned on here. My personal opinion, its over rated and Ive owned a huge amount of gym equipment over the years.I will keep this post updated regards my mods. But to be fair, you shouldnt have to spend that much money on a canvas belt, only to go and modify it and supply your own heavy duty chain and carribeners. For the record I bought the large. My stats are 15st bodyweight, 6'2" height, 36 waist.I hope this helps.

A few months back I came across hip belt squats and have absolutely loved the exercise since. However I was using a chained belt and you know if you've used it how uncomfortable it becomes as the weight increases which is why I bought the spud inc belt. Tough, strong and comfortable I'm happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

This is perfect. I wanted to do belt squats to avoid strain on my lower back and to perhaps help with spinal decompression. The dip belt I had been using was uncomfortable, and the chains would dig into my inner thighs. This Spud Inc belt squat belt is PERFECT. I grabbed a decent loading strap and I load up plates, stand on two boxes (cinder blocks), and squat.I highly recommend this belt squat belt by Spud, Inc.

Absolutely great quality. Supper thick and durable. Very comfortable and easy to use. I use it primarily for belt squats. No rubbing. No pinch points. Just comfortable and solid. It's a piece of equipment that will last for years.

Met my needs.I am using with a home made resistance band leg press machine. Works great and keeps the stress off of my back.

Se ve y se siente muy fuerte, bien construido, aunque se siente suave y no lastima las caderas y /o las piernas. El precio muy alto sería el inconveniente.

I just received this belt and tried it today. I was hoping this would work with my power rack's pulldown attachment, low row cable attachment. It works perfectly. I use a 3" steel carabiner on the cable attachment, another 4" heavy duty carabiner with the SpudInc Belt, then use them with the ProGear 1600 rack and the ProGear 310 attachment. I am 6 feet even and if I stand slightly back away from the cable attachment I won't risk hitting my head on the upper beams. The movement feels just like a regular squat. There is no discomfort in the waste since this belt is so wide and soft. This is one strong belt, there is no way possible it's going to break, not a chance because it is extremely thick nylon. I'm very, very happy with this belt. It's great for squats and calve raises, the only thing I've tried it with so far.

I bought this for my belt squat machine and glad to report it works great. Nice and broken in out of the package, no issues what so ever. I would buy again.

Bought this specifically for belt squats. Quality is Spud level and if you own any of their other equipment, you’ll know that means ugly, functional, and incredibly durable.I have bony hips. Unfortunately no matter where I positioned the belt it rubbed and caused pain. I tried using both the cable and a weight stack between boxes. I could get the desired results but ended up with hip pointers and bruises. I don’t wear a lot to workout in so I might try again with sweatpants or heavier shorts. My wife on the other hand really liked it and got a lot out of it.If you’re familiar with the exercise you will probably really like this belt. If you’re starting out, my advice is to go slow because the weight will sometimes swing a bit and it can catch you off guard. I highly recommend a loading pin and some chain.

I spent years power lifting. At my pinnacle I was squatting just south of 800lbs - that was in my 20's. I am now 51 years old and suffer with some occasional, mild back issues as a result of pushing my back to its limits in the gym and outside the gym for decades. For this reason, and a desire to train legs like my days of old - but without the spine loading - I started looking for alternatives to traditional squats. That search eventually lead me to this product, and I can say without reservation that I am very happy it did! After having done a thorough "belt squat" workout I am extremely excited about this product. I was able to set up a rig that I could perform full squats to just below parallel on, and I was able to maintain proper balance and leg position throughout the movement. I have to say, short of the feel of having the bar on my shoulders, it felt like "real" squats! The pump, burn and feel my legs experienced was pretty much exactly the same as I felt when doing traditional barbell squats. In other words, I don't think my legs could tell the difference, but my back was loving not taking the strain!I have a high end hip sled / leg press that I have used to supplement my workouts for years, but I could never truly mimic the feel - or results - of traditional squats. Those days are over. Now squats with the Squat Belt will be the center of my leg workouts and the leg press will serve for accessory work and calves. I can't say enough how happy I am to have made this discovery. If you're serious about leg development and need to lift heavy, but you back or shoulders can't take it any more or you just don't want to risk you back in the first place!, this is the answer to your prayers. And it is very well made, surprisingly comfortable and very easy to use with very little ingenuity.
