This stainless steel storage jar is perfect for storing opened bags of coffee, and it's perfectly sized to accommodate a 12 oz. bag of ground coffee or whole beans. This container easily makes an airtight seal by pressing the rubber button at the top, and will release the seal when the button is pulled. The seal is strong enough to hold when I lift the jar by the lid and gently pull, but I can break the seal if I pull hard enough. It does take determination to break the seal without pulling the button on top, and I'm satisfied with the airtight capability of this storage jar.The gasket inside the lid is thick and sturdy, all of the edges of this jar and lid are smoothly rolled, the exterior has a highly polished finish, and the interior is brushed steel finish.This jar is wonderful for any airtight storage needs, and I love the Hangari shape! It reminds me of the pottery that I used to make, and the kettle belly style is adorable.This jar is easy to clean and the wide mouth gives plenty of access into the interior of the jar. Cool little airtight storage, unique shape that looks like an old spittoon. Just shy of being able to hold 1lb of coffee, but great for storing anything you need airtight in a convenient size.
